“Local Pub Feel”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

We popped into Mooneys when we got back into Sedona late one evening after a long day of sight seeing and hiking. The beer was cold, and the food (think your basic Irish-American fare with a couple quirky dishes thrown in) was a few steps above your regular bar food fried plate. My husband got the corned beef sandwich on marble rye. I had the "Irish Nachos" which are actually more like Irish fries -- french fries with cheddar cheese, crumbled sausage, and various other toppings. They were tasty. It's a small place with what seemed like a local gathering. Like I said, we had some seasonal, cold draft beers, and good food -- all for less than $30.

“Irish bar with live music”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

Nice atmosphere, proper poured Guinness. Was hoping the live music out front would be Irish, but performer was still entertaining.

“A nice friendly place to have a few drinks.”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

I visited Mooney's for the first time with a group of friends. It's not fancy or pretentious. It's a nice clean place to enjoy a few drinks and relax. Mooney's has a real Irish pub feel, you don't feel like you just wanted into a Lord Of The Rings set. The staff is friendly and moves with a purpose. There is a fine (but not large) selection of beers both on tap and in the bottle, with a larger selection of whiskeys and other liquor. The darts area looks inviting. The bathrooms are clean. Your wife won't mind drinking here. The food is brought from another nearby restaurant. That's on for lunch but there are better supper options in the immediate area. There are bands on weekend nights.

“Local guy”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

Always enjoy stopping in for a brew. There's an excellent selection on tap and in the cooler...many that you have never tasted before. Plus, the selection rotates so you can keep trying new things. The new owner has cleaned the place up and made it much more enjoyable and friendly. The Irish music that is playing sometimes is generic and not very good. When switched to alternatives, they are usually much better.

I have not eaten here and probably won't as it is from a neighboring restaurant that doesn't suit me.

One unusual feature of this pub is that it remains open late which doesn't happen much in this area.
