“Great food and live music”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We found this restaurant while searching for another one and were very happy that we gave it a try. We had to wait for a table so went to get drinks from the bar and found the service there not so great. One guy standing around while the other went to serve a couple of blondes who arrived a couple of minutes after I had been standing there. After a pretty short wait for a party of six on a Saturday night we got a table near the band and enjoyed some good music with some great food and the service improved a great deal.

The rib connoisseur in the family rated their ribs as some of the best he's tasted and the burgers were also excellent.

It also looks like they have some outside dining tables that overlook the fantastic mountain scenery that would be worth checking out.

“A Strange Night”
Reviewed April 7, 2013 via mobile

After a great first visit, a decent second visit, our third time here was a clear "miss". Maybe it's because we had our two kids in tow (6 & 9) but we were seated at a table near the patio door that blasted us with cold air every minute or two. We could feel the staff eyes on us and it felt like they must have been drawing straws back in the kitchen as to who would take our table. Funny thing, we tend to be outrageous tippers. Not this time.

We had an outstanding server on our first visit. We've struck out on our last two visits. Bummer.

We couldn't put our finger on it but the food seemed to fall a bit short of the quality we had on our first visit. Maybe because this was Easter Sunday? I was underwhelmed with the Caesar salad, the chowder was good but tasted "tired", my beloved green-lipped mussels were tasty (but not as yummy as I remembered), the shrimp cocktail was a bit limp and had a most unappealing presentation, the ribs were very tasty, but . . . shouldn't a half-slab of ribs come with a steak knife? We had to stare at them for ages before our waitress finally appeared and offered to have them cut up and re-warmed. When they eventually reappeared my wife swears they were not the same ribs that she took away. We ended up boxing them up and having them for breakfast the next day. The kids liked them at least.

The jazz QUARTET was decent and provided a great atmosphere during the meal.

Summary: avoid sitting near the patio, leave the kids at home, cross your fingers on your server, and consider avoiding holiday weekends. We won't be back for a long . . . long . . . time. No kids, that's for sure.

“Excellent food and good entertainment”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

Listened to live music from two musicians. They weren't bad but I wouldn't want to pay to see them (kind of like lounge lizards).
Daughter and wife ordered strip steaks. One with mashed sweat potatoes and the other with roasted garlic mashed potatoes. They liked their dinners. I chose the salmon with garlic mashed. I really liked it.
Wife goy a couple glasses of wine and I had 2 Ranger IPA's. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Atmosphere was excellent. staff was friendly. Place closes early. In fact by 9:00PM it was practically empty. Weird, but that's Sedona for you.

“Good food not so much on the service....”
Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

We had lunch today 4-6-13 the service was ok at best, it didn't really seem that busy for the amount of wait staff compared to the occupancy. The food was good nothing that made us say can't wait to come back, but we may go back & give them a second try......

Last night we had a wonderful meal outside at sunset. The sevice was wonderful, the atmosphere was great, and the food was excellent. I especially loved the shrimp and crab chowder.
