After eating at Elote the night before, we were in the mood for something a little more low key. We'd read some of the reviews and decided to give Sound Bites a shot since it had music. This was the Sunday night of President's Day weekend, and we arrived at about 5:30. The bar was dotted with a few people. We were given the option to sit on the music or non-music side, and we chose the music side, as a 3 piece jazz band was about to begin playing. We were seated almost right in front of the stage, yet on the back wall which was perfect. Anne Marie was our server and she was very attentive, friendly and easy on the eyes :). When the hostess said the name of our server, I heard Desiree and so I mistakenly called Anne Marie "Desiree" half the night. She was a good sport about it. They pour a good drink, and the wines selections were very good. We opted for a local wine that they were featuring on special that night for $5, and it was very nice. The jazz band began to play. They sounded great! Not too loud and just the right mood for the evening. My wife noticed the table adjacent to us had order Maine lobster tail and her eyes lit up. In Sedona, I thought? But the table next to us highly recommended it and so she ordered it. Outstanding! She ate every bite, including the mashed potatoes. The green beans she ordered on the side were average and needed a little more pizazz. I had the beef skewers, which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We stayed for a while after dinner, enjoyed some more wine and the music. There were some odd girls dancing to the jazz, which was actually quite entertaining. Once again, Anne Marie was fantastic. We really enjoyed our time here and will be back!

We stopped here for an early supper on Sunday evening. We were seated near the window and had a beautiful view of the darkening sky and the full moon rising. Our server was helpful. We had cups of chili (yummy) and shared a pizza, which was plenty for two of us. We actually took half home and had it for lunch the next day. It was delicious. In addition, that evening the they had a jazz trio performing. Very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend dining here.

This location has been several restaurants in the past years. It is back to a burger joint with a musical twist.

I had the black and bleu burger which was excellent. It came with a choice of sides: the usual fries, sweet potato fries and I'm sure others. I choose the cuke and pineapple salad. It was the best. The pineapple is grilled and tossed with the cukes and some basil leaves. It covers all the salad bases and was quite enjoyable.

My dining partner had the ribs which she said she would only eat half. Well, they were all gone by the end of our meal.

Our waiter Skylar was friendly and informative and attentive, as were the other staff on duty. I'll try it again.

Great food and music. The bartender fixed a good stiff drink. Our server Lilly was on the spot. We will definitely come back. We had steak and salmon, both grilled perfectly.

Its not just the atmosphere and red rock views, or the consistantly great food or the varied musical entertainment. So it must be all three elements carefully combined by owners Michelle and Steve who strive to assure that everyone has a great evening. I've never encountered a more attentive waitstaff who unobtrusively attend to everything.
Last night we enjoyed their Fat Tuesday menu. Great gumbo followed by a large but tender breaded catfish filit accompanied by dirty rice and just right green beans. Desert was a Beniet combination in a vanilla sauce with fresh berries. Light and delicious. And reasonably priced. To top it all off we enjoyed Miller, Martin and Ki, three very talented local musicians who were upbeat and fun. Judging by all of the dancers we were not alone in enjoying our evening.

Good going, Sound Bites!
