“So far so good...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013

We ate at the Soundbites Grill tonight. There were four of us. We arrived at 6:00. The restaurant was fairly empty- but in all honesty it was very cold / miserable out this evening...hail and rain.
We requested a booth- no view where we were seated, but worth it to have a booth....AND no music...at least not at 6:00.
My mom went for the fixed price menu which was 19.00, and a good deal. It included a small salad, entree and dessert. She's 89 and the meal was enough for her to take home for lunch tomorrow.
My son had the made to order chicken. (TAKES 30 min) They advertise it as 12 oz....HARDLY. I'd call it a nice 5 oz chicken breast. It looked good. Hubby had the soup and one of the pizzas. There was another pizza called "The BOSS" - WE WILL NEVER ORDER IT....EVER. NOT A SPRINGSTEIN FAN..... I had the lettuce wrapped chicken. Really good.
Everyone's dinner included "sourdough" bread and dipping oil.

The ambiance is supposed to be music themed .The props that they have on display are impressive----but they need more....They don't need to look like a "Hard Rock" but they need more than just guitars on the wall.

We liked the signed Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughan guitar from the Alpine Valley performance (last Stevie Ray Vaughan show before his death)....its on loan from Fender...but for sale , for 25,000.00. They have a BB King 'Lucille" which is nice as well. There were others but these two stood out to us. There was a large portrait of the Alpine Valley performers in another location.

In regards to the live music...there is a small stage- very small. It would be incredible if the Soundbite could bring in a large name such as BB KING for an invitation only dinner show. Or Bonnie Raitt. People such as us- would be willing to pay for the opportunity for such tickets. We attended such a show in Aspen at a local saloon...(it was a benefit) but they actually brought in Lynyrd Skynyrd to a tiny place that held just 200 people. It was a pre paid dinner show. The tickets were very pricey. We've been to other similar events at different winery's in California with "name" acts. They keep the shows intimate and serve a fixed dinner. Its very cool to see a big name blues man 3 or 4 feet from your table.

The SoundBite has solid potential- Hopefully, soon the restaurant will be open for lunch.

“Nice music and atmosphere”

Night life in Sedona is endangered, but this was a nice way to spend part of the evening. We were here for a cocktail and to enjoy the live three-piece jazz band that was very good. Friendly service, comfortable seating.

“I love this restaurant!”

I love this restaurant! The food was delicious, portions large, and service helpful and attentive. Ambiance is great for getting together with friends, and the live entertainment makes for a fun night out. I feel it's the best Sedona has to offer.

“Enjoyable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013

We very much enjoyed the food, service and view! I had ribs, which were very tender and very good; however, I would have liked more of a smoked flavor (personal preference). Otherwise, the food met or exceeded our expectations. Definitely a place to eat in Sedona.
