“LOVED THIS RESORT”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2014

This was our first time to Sedona, and loved staying at this resort.
The Chalet's was perfect with wonderful views.
We loved that we could walk right out the door of the resort and get to the hiking trails.
Having a kitchen was really nice. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: I think no matter what room type you choose all were nice.

My Fiance and I stayed here in 2013 and really enjoyed ourselves. Located just before you get to downtown Sedona, this hotel has simple features and is nestled near Bell Rock in Sedona. Views are amazing and our A-Framed cottage had a nice patio to enjoy our morning coffee or evening wine while enjoying the views of the local mountains. Rooms are simply stated. Kitchens are nicely equipped (however could use a little updating). Bed is comfortable and if we would have had a guest, they would have enjoyed the loft upstairs. We will be back

My son and I spent 2 nights in an A frame chalet here in early February. The views of the red rocks from the chalet were spectacular. The place was comfy and the loft was perfect for my son. The bed downstairs was very comfortable and it was nice to have the kitchen so we didn't have to eat all of our meals out. As others mentioned, another big plus is having a trail that starts right from the property. No matter what your hiking skills are, you can't not give it a try. It was cold out so I enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of walking and hiking. It's a bit of a drive to downtown Sedona (5-10 minutes?) but it you have a car, it doesn't matter - at least it didn't to us. I live about 2 hours away and try to visit Sedona at least twice a year, I would definitely come back to Red Agave.

Room Tip: One of the 3 A frames that sit alone as you pull into the main parking area.

what a nice experience we had here, beautiful setting, the chalet was comfy, the amenities were many, the views were stunning! We went for the hike on Slim Shady. It was a little cold to use the pool, but would do it next time.

Room Tip: we were 2 older couples, so the trip up the spiral stairs was a little rough to do for the one coupl...

We stayed here in one of the A-Frame cottages for three nights. Couldn't have asked for better accommodations! The place was huge, the bed was comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything you needed (utensil-wise), the staff was great, and the view was just amazing.

I also have to mention the free baggies of s'mores ingredients. We didn't partake, but that is such a great perk!

If you have a little extra time, I'd recommend hiking on the trail that leads out of the back of the property. It will give you some vast and breathtaking views of the land...and it will leave you wanting to get back to Red Agave and Sedona as soon as you get home.

Love this place. 3rd visit. Single track trail starts / ends at the resort. What more could you ask for. Ride access to little horse, highline, slim shady, templeton etc. no need to drive.

Pool and 2 hot tubs clean studios. Have not stayed in the chalets yet. Rooms are a bit dated but not bad and are a great value.

Studios have kitchenettes and they have nightly Bon fires with free s'mores :)

Tracy is great and attentive and once your settled in... the views are amazing.

Room Tip: They all look at the same picture post card

Tracy makes you feel really welcome. Almost like staying with friends. They have great units with everything you need for a few days. Stunning views and access to the great trail network right out the back.
