This was a nice property but it is a time share. That is something I would have like to have realized before staying there. My husband and I would have preferred a hotel experience. However, the time share is clean, well kept, and in a very central location. There is a Starbucks on site which I always enjoy. Even the Starbucks in Sedona has gorgeous views! The front desk staff were not our favorite. They kept mentioning that we really needed to speak with the activity director and we all know what that means- time share pitch. They called our room several times as well.

I went with large group of 10 people and we rented 2/ two bedroom units rooms 922 A & B and 923 A & B. they were top units and near the pool. Unit 922 has a better view. The lock off portion of each room is super private & my sisters and her husband had lots of privacy. The staff was super. We stayed for a week and they cleaned unit mid week and when we needed more towels etc. the staff was always helpfull. The only downside is that pool closes at 10 pm. The pool area is very relaxing and I never had to struggle to find place to sit. They don't have a bar service but I was able to take my own lil ice chest and keep my refreshments nearby. I also never struggled with finding parking as others have complained about. I love the little shopping center nearby and the Wild Flowers Reasteaunt had great breakfast and lunch food and just a hop away. The atmospher and landscaping was beautiful. The rooms are gorgeous & washer/ dryers in our suites came in handy. This place has the best location in town and is a a skip away from all the best sights and sounds. A true gem!!!!!

We stayed for two nights after a spur of the moment decision to leave the Scottsdale heat. We got a one bedroom unit that was just great. It was roomy, well furnished, had a nice bed and a great patio. There was a jetted bathtub which would be great during a colder time of the year.

Three things keep this from being a five start review, though all of the issues are quite minor. 1) This is a time share property so they want you to attend their presentation. They get to you when you use the concierge. I said no three times and they finally (sort of) gave up. The concierge was very nice, though, and we got some nice discounts. 2) The TV was just weird! The station numbers were something like 23-211 or 7-136, and most of them didn't work anyway. I don't watch much TV in hotels, but I was interested in watching ESPN, but no luck. 3) The unit is a little dark inside due to the location abutting an embankment. It was still very pleasant, but it required that there be more lights on inside than I would normally prefer.

As I said, very minor issues. The place is right on the edge of the downtown and very handy to everything. We would definitely stay here again.

First off, the negative comments here are unwarranted. It is a TIMESHARE people, not a full service hotel. It comes with full kitchen, except studios, and the expectation is you, the visitor, would prepare *some* meals in your room, thus the needs for full service, room service etc, is not needed. That is a timeshare hotel. That being said, this hotel has great amenities near by, in walking distance, for food. A Starbucks, Soundbites, a sandwich shop among others. They were all open pretty late if you needed something. The staff and especially the concierge service is very first class. We called a few days before arriving and spoke with Darlene and she gave us some ideas on what to do then when we arrived, she had our entire week scheduled for us, both paid and non-paid activities. Our view in our room was AMAZING. We were in the 1200 building next to the lobby and it was stunning. The rooms are very spacious and clean and fit our 5 person family great! Also, you are a very short walk to the main street shops, we only went there once as it is very touristy and had overpriced items. The better places to eat are in West Sedona i.e. The Field, Picazzo's, etc... I highly recommend this hotel based on a timeshare needs, wants, expectations. if you are more in need of full-service, room service, maid service everyday, don't stay here, go to full-service hotel.

Room Tip: stay in room near the lobby.

This was our 2nd stay at this resort and it was just as wonderful as the first! There was a little drama at check-in, but it was quickly resolved by management. If you booked a two bedroom unit, please be aware that it only sleeps 7, not 8. There are two beds and two pullouts, but one pullout is only a single. When I booked our rooms (one 2br and one 1br), I was told the 2br would sleep 8 and we were travelling with a family of that size. Apparently there was a disconnect between Hyatt Vacation Club and the resort itself, but Lynette quickly rectified the situation by finding an available efficiency we could have at no charge! Kudos to Hyatt for their superb customer service!

The resort itself is absolutely beautiful with more of a spa feeling to it rather than a typical resort. The rooms are spacious, clean and lovely and virtually all have a beautiful view of the red rocks, making your morning coffee and sunset cocktails that much more enjoyable.

The pool (saltwater, not chlorine) is peaceful and relaxing. Even though the resort was fairly full, there was never a problem finding seating. For those of you who are a little more on the fair-skinned side, there is plenty of shade (either trees or umbrellas) in which to take refuge. The two hot tubs are very nice as well.

One of our party used the Fitness Center and was pretty impressed with the equipment available. The little tot lot in the recreation center looked nice, but a bit small. We weren't travelling with toddlers, so didn't really use it. The ping pong and pool tables were nice and certainly in demand.

If you wish to avail yourself of the grills for a little BBQ fun, they are easily obtained (with reservations) and conveniently located on either side of the resort. The kitchen is fairly well stocked if you should decide to make meals. The only thing we ran into (no doubt because we were such a large party - 11) was enough storage containers and baking dishes, so ended up borrowing from one room to another. Dishwasher detergent and laundry soap are available at the front desk or by dialing housekeeping. Trash pick-up is available whenever necessary and if you are staying for a week, there is mid-stay housekeeping that does an excellent job of freshening up your room.

If you want to eat out, there are a lot of excellent choices within walking distance of the resort. We had wonderful meals at Taos (Mexican) and The Cowboy Club (American). We did make a reservation at Taos, but they weren't necessary at The Cowboy Club. The options are pretty pricey though, so we used our resort coupons to offset the bottom line.

Since this is a timeshare, we were offered an opportunity to sit through a presentation (we're already owners, so it was an owners update - 60 minutes, not the usual 90 minute presentation) for $100 coupon, so we did. Our salesman, Tom, was friendly, personable and knowledgeable, but certainly not high pressure. We had just added to our points during our last stay, so weren't interested in an additional purchase, but did get a lot of great information on the new residence program and how our points translate.

We loved our stay and can't wait for the next one!

Room Tip: Buildings 14, 16 and 17 offer the best views, but there are really no bad views! 2nd floor is better than first too. Rooms are slightly larger in buildings 15, 16 and 17 as they are 2nd phase of development.
