I love this place! If you want to be in the midst it the hustle & bustle of the downtown Sedona tourist area...don't stay here. Would you like a calm, peaceful environment to rest & relax after hiking amongst the red rocks...stat here.Would you like to stay somewhere that is well maintained & clean to the point where one man's job is to rake the sand & gravel with the quiet & purposeful movement of a monk in a zen garden...stat here! Other perks include free wi-go, free laundry, free fitness centre, free mini golf, free smiles & warm hospitality...stay here

Wife and I stayed here for 4 days last Sept. after hiking the Grand Canyon rim2rim. This is the perfect place to unwind, especially if you are of "senior citizen" vintage, like us. It is located a ways outside of the town of Sedona, so the relaxing atmosphere is most welcome. However, the bad news is that you are a few miles from town if you want to eat out or do much shopping. We had a super rental with lots of room, a complete kitchen, nice eating area, full-sized bed, well-laid out grounds (maintained every day), and easy access to pool and min. golf course. The pool was huge with a great hot tub next to it. We were there when school was in session, so it was not crowded. Check-in and out were a breeze and the staff couldn't have been nicer. We had a large deck outside the front door where we had coffee and read the paper each morning. It was clean and had all the features any grand hotel would offer -- coffee, tea and other supplies in the kitchen and the usual nice toilet soaps and stuff in the bathroom. It was just right for recovery after our 5-day hike. Would go there again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Remember the sun screen, sun glasses and hat if you are at the pool. There is not much between you...

We have stayed at this resort many times. Not your typical hotel rooms but rather individual "manufactured" cottages surrounded by running streams and fountains. Located at the south end of Sedona but still easy access to all attractions. Concierge desk is very helpful and their restaurant serves a fine meal. Nice and quiet.

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 children 8 & 10) just returned from our stay stay at the Sedona Pines Resort ! We were there for six nights during the last week of March and we were so sad to leave; wished we could have stayed longer. It felt like home. I was a little worried about the size when I had booked this resort because although the reviews were all really good, size seemed to be an issue. Everyone seemed to think that it was very small. I thought we would be super cramped but that was not the case at all! The unit was absolutely beautiful. It was immaculate with a very well stocked kitchen. When we first walked into our unit there was soft music playing and chocolates waiting for us on the counter. It was very welcoming! It was very comfortable and we had more than enough room inside the unit for the four of us . There was a queen size bed in the MBR and the girls slept on a pull out sofa in the living room (which they said was very comfortable). In fact, they took care of pulling out and making their bed by themselves during out entire time there! It was no big deal to slide the coffee table out of the way to pull out the sofa bed at night. The staff was super helpful and welcoming with anything that we needed. The grounds are beautifully kept; there was continual maintenance going on outside! Although it is a timeshare we felt no pressure to do the tour and hear the presentation. The option was there but no one pushed it, which we appreciated. All in all, Sedona Pines is a beautiful and very unique resort. We really liked having our own space and if we return to Sedona we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

My G/F and i stayed at this resort in the second week of march 2013 and had a great time there. the place is very clean inside and out and has everything in the cottage that you will need. you will have to buy your own food and there is a Safeway market just down the road. there is a pool, miniture golf a great restaurant on location. we spent a week there and the weather was great. downtown sadona is about 15 minutes away with breath taking views of the mountains as you drive there. we flew into flagstaf and rented a car. I great view of the canyon as you head towards sadona 45 minutes away. back to the resort, we found all the personal very polite and helpfull BUT be aware of the time share people, just tell the your not interested and they will leave you alone. every morning you will see the hot air ballons floating about the morning sky. this place was great and i can't understand why anybody would give it a one star rating

Room Tip: we were asigned a room when we arrived and didn't need to change it

in my last review, I said laundry was not free because I saw coin mechanisms....it is actually free to wash and dry as a resident at Sedona Pines. Also had dinner at their Bistro last night and the owner informed us that they will be changing the menu and having lower prices. The meal we had was very good, but at these prices, would expect cloth napkins and some background music...dining room needs some ambiance. Hopefully the new owners of the Bistro will continue with their changes. For the time share tour..I would strongly suggest they at least use paper cups not Styrofoam....have some milk or cream- not powdered and the offering for pasteries were too sugary with frosting- tweenky style..a plain muffin would work. Time share people were very pleasant and not pushy...we opted not to buy in, but did enjoy our visit
