Undergoing furniture and property upgrade, very accessable. Cannot say anything negative about the motel or location. I had a wonderful experience.

Our one night stay at the Matterhorn Inn was quite refreshing. The location is excellent within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The balcony is quite large and a great place to share a beverage, people watch and view the beauty of the surrounding red rocks.

As mentioned by many other guests, the accomodations were quite comfortable, and extremely clean and well cared for. Don't hesitate to book with this hotel, and patronize a personnally owned and cared for Inn.

We escaped record heat in Mesa, Arizona July 23, 2006 and headed to Sedona for Saturday night stay.
Had no reservation, but by getting a room around 3 pm we got a great room with AAA rate and we aren't members. The gentleman at the desk was polite and helpful with places we could walk to. The Matterhorn is in the main shopping area of Sedona and too many shops to visit for the day and half we were there.
We ate a deli across the street with great views of the red rock mountains. We had views from our bed of the Snoopy rock mountain. Even a view from the back of the motel. See photos.
I always go for a view room.
We got the top floor of motel and had a private balcony to enjoy. Mornings and evenings outside were nice.
There was road construction in the area but we parked at motel and walked every where. Room was $99 for the night.
My son loved the swimming pool and we had it to ourselves for the evening.
We would definately go back for the location and the views.
Rooms were smaller than most, but the balcony made up the difference for me.

Our family of 5 just spent 2 night here. The hotel and pool were spotless (I checked after reading the other reviews!). We had a little trouble with the AC the first night but the owners went out of their way to be accomodating and were replacing the unit when we left. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful (we were there when much of the area was still closed from the fires) in finding things to do with teenaged boys. Would go again and would recommend it.

My husband and I stayed at the Matterhorn for three days and it was wonderful. The room is clean and spacious and on the second floor you can sit with your coffee and enjoy the beautiful view of the red rocks and watch the town come alive! We enjoyed driving down to the "Coffee Pot" for breakfast everyday. Very popular and inexpensive. We will return.

Everything in the previous review is right on. Our second story room had a great view of the scenery as well as Sedona's uptown. Even though we were right on top of uptown, it was quiet and we got a good night's sleep. The price, proximity to attractions, and views would be really hard to beat. It is not a luxury facility, but is clean and comfortable. I would go back in a heartbeat.

I stayed the inn 1 night for traveling around Sedona. This hotel is in convenient area. You can go to shopping on foot. And also you can go to Red Rock by car in 10 minutes. Staff was very kind. You will be welcomed by them. Room was simple but comfortable. Bath room is very clean and it looks like new. The view from balcony was awesome. I can not believe that the price was less expensive. Only one thing I was concerned... I found hairs on my sheet, before using my bed. (not on cover but on sheet..) Was it accidentally left when they changed the sheet? Did they forget to change the sheet? ? Except that, it was no problem at all.
