“Wow Views - Minimum Effort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

It is less than a half mile to the top of Doe Mountain, and after a short, flat walk across the top you get photogenic views. You can extend your hike by circling the top. Best experienced in the morning for the early sunlight and great pictures.

“Attainable Challange”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2012

When I looked up this trail I told my husband I didn't think I could make it--it had been recommended to us by another 50-something local-so we thought we'd give it a try--we stopped several times up the switchback trail--clammored through the rocks at the top and were rewarded with a plateau, mountain top view of West Sedona, well worth the hike and glad to say I accomplished it.

“Great views!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2012

Climbed up early in the morning. Short hike, no more than 30 minutes to reach the mesa. Not strenuous. Beautiful 360 degree views. Worth the hike, especially if you only have a short time.

“A must do at least once!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2012

Our first trip to sedona and we hiked up Doe Mountain Trail today. It was a bit challenging for us being first time hikers but definitely well worth the effort, the views were fantastic and we have pictures to prove it. We took lots of water and snacks and had a mini picnic up on the mesa, nice breeze kept us cool. Use of walking stick probably would have been helpful. My husband thought it was a bit treacherous being so close to the edge but still had a great time. Highly recommend this activity and definitely will do again with other family members.

“A steep up, but the view is beautiful and vast.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2012

It is up by switchbacks, until the last 30 feet, which is a crawl up the rocks. The top is completely flat and huge. So one can stay up there for hours looking at the surrounding country from 360 degrees. Take plenty of water, hat, and sunscreen.
