“unexpected surprise”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

We had gone up to the Airport Overlook to watch the sunset over Sedona, AZ. The place was really crowded and the traffic leaving was going to be bad, so we turned the opposite direction and drove to the Mesa Grill Restaurant, which had been recommend by our jeep tour guide. The restaurant was crowded too, and was still getting the bugs out of its service, as it had only recently opened. We weren't overly hungry so my wife had the avocado, mango dinner salad and I had the crab cake appetizer. Both were very good. The only bad think was our table was right below an air conditioner vent and we got a cold draft every time it turned on. Since the restaurant was full we couldn't change tables. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and freshness of the food and will probably go back on a future trip to Sedona.

“The Best Steak in the area”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

We were in Sedona for 5 days, and ate somewhere different each night. The Mesa Grill had the best steaks, hands down, the Filet Mignon got rave reviews from the two that ordered it. The Chicken Parmesan was one of the best meals that I had there too. A lovely spot to take in the sunset. I did not give it 5 stars because I found it a bit crowded, not so much as to detract a lot, but even so... Pleasant service too.

“Fun place for lunch, with a patio overlooking the beautiful Sedona red rock scenery, good food and beverages, and aircraft taki”
Reviewed October 3, 2013 via mobile

This is my third visit to Sedona, and have always wanted to try this restaurant because of its location. I was not disappointed. The food was better than average, but a bit spendy. It was great to sit out and enjoy a beautiful Sedona day, with good food, good tap beer, and airplanes and helicopters coming and going. It is not gourmet food, but quite adequate. My hamburger was quite good, and my husband had a roast beef platter that he thought was quite good. The tap beer was from a Flagstaff brew house. This was a nice experience.

“Hamburgers overrated but fun to watch planes!”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

A fellow traveler told us that she had the best hamburger she had ever eaten at the Mesa Grill at the Sedona Airport. So we tried them. They were okay but definitely not exceptional. Served with a tasty but slightly wilted side salad. I enjoyed a cup of Butternut Squash soup that tasted like pumpkin pie. The best thing about this restaurant is watching all of the little sightseeing planes take off and land. Also, we saw a roadrunner cross the road on our way to the parking lot! Very cool!
