“New restaurant at the airport crashes and burns!”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

First of all, when you write, "Classic Eggs Benedict" on your menu you should have the wherewithal to leave the spinach off the dish. And the eggs should be poached, not hard boiled. But hey...that's nothing compared to the complete lack of service and mis-management at this very pretentious little dive. The manager stuck her fingers in every glass she touched...clean or dirty. When she stuck her filthy fingers in the side of ketchup she brought to our table, it was the last straw. Here's another tip...if you have an open kitchen you must train the cooks not to eat behind the line. There is nothing that ruins one's appetite like seeing the cooks stuffing their faces while cooking your breakfast. Back in the day, servers had to procure a food handler's card. That should go double for managers! I fly into this airport on a regular basis so this was not my first visit....but it was my last. Come up for the spectacular view but pack a lunch...this place is not worth a visit!

“Had some great food highlights - we ate here out of convenience”
Reviewed November 23, 2012

We ate at Mesa Grill out of convenience - we were staying at the Sky Lodge which does not offer any food.

We enjoyed a dinner. Too dark to enjoy a view, but the setting is still nice with a singer there on the Wednesday we went. The highlight was the seafood fondue and Mango dessert - both were amazing and something my husband and I want again. The main courses were okay and pricy.

For breakfast, the crab Benedict was very, very good. The lemon and ricotta pancakes were not what I was expecting.

I probably would not recommend this restaurant as a must eat - but it is near some great look out spots so might be a nice meal before or after enjoying a view. The location is near the airport - not bad just not scenic like other spots. If you staying at Sky Ranch Lodge - I would definitely recommend it. Good and convenient. They will deliver too!

“Dessert was the best thing on the menu”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

I had tapas, my fiance the prime-rib. I guess we're spoiled by good food in Louisiana. For the price we weren't overly impressed. The dessert choice was great. Get some tapas and eat dessert.

“Good food in a unique setting”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

We came here because we wanted something uniquely Sedona. The location was definitely special, at the airport amidst the red rocks. Too bad there was no flight activity while we were there. The drive up was beautiful.

The food was very good and came in big portion also. We came here for lunch. We ordered the burger and BBQ wrap. I just wished the BBQ meat was hot or at least offered the options. But they were very flavorful nonetheless. Loved the green chile fries! Service was quick and attentive.

“Very good breakfast”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

We stayed at the Sky Ranch Lodge and we gave it a try because it is within walking distance. The breakfast was top. Prices (given the location outside the town) one the higher side. Waffles, pancakes and Eggs Benedict just delicious. Will try dinner next time.
