We had a great time at the resort. The views are spectacular, the jacuzzi and resort amenities are great. The only disappointment was our room because we booked through our time share exchange company and they gave us one of the older units. At first we didn't mind all that much considering the price we paid, but then we took their time share presentation and saw the updated units. The updated units are gorgeous, so I was very upset that they did a switcharoo. I believe the resort rating they receive is based on the updated units not the old one that we got.

Sedona Summit is a great place to stay as long as you can guarantee you are getting the newer units.

we had an 2 bed apartment - the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen were furnished to an exceptional standard. It is set in an area of outstanding natural red rocks.Stayed for 3 nights-wish we had booked for a week.

Only regret was notting spending enough time on site to enjoy all resort has to offer. Staff receptive, welcoming and kind. Stay away from the concierge desk-too strong on marketing. Drive to Grand Canyon, definitely do Broken Arrow Trail with Pink Jeep Tours! Great vacation!

We stayed at the Sedona Summit in September…BE CAREFUL if you don’t own there. This place very much discriminates between the OWNER (placed on one side of the street) and NON OWNER (opposite side). As we traded our lovely Marriott resort to explore Sedona, you can only imagine our heartache in entering a shabby condo in much need of attention PLUS it was NOT properly stocked. We had almost no kitchen equipment or pool towels. Even after making a request…it took 1 ½ days to FINALY get what we needed.

1. The pools are small and dingy.
2. The grounds are not maintained very well.
3. The barbeques are falling down (leaning sideways)
4. The condos are DESPARATE for maintenance (this was NOT just our opinion, when we were there, everyone who did not own said the same thing…rooms VERY shabby)
5. Good Luck getting help from the front desk

Bottom line…this is NOT a place I’d ever go back to. They were rude and not customer friendly. The place was a dump (if you happen to be given a room on “that side of the road”).

We had a lovely two bedroom/bath condo. We arrived a day later than our reservation and many items had not been replaced after the last use of this condo. We called and the requested items where brought over to our unit. We where scheduled for a mid week cleaning. At 4:30 no cleaning (towel replacement, sheet change, bath items) had been done. We where told the staff had left and this would be completed the next day. It did not. We called and requested clean towels etc and they where delivered, but no cleaning. After talking with several couples who use this "time share" complex yearly, they complained of the same cleaning follow up and having to wait to check in for the unit to be cleaned.
The location and the unit do make this a good place to stay.

We were delighted to arrive at the Sedona Summit and find the view of the Red Rocks in all directions. The accomodations were great. They had everything we needed, from washer and dryer to multiple flat screen TV's and a fireplace. Having morning coffee out on the deck, while enjoying the sunrise was a treat. The lobby always had fresh coffee and was just a short walk from our condo. The choice of swimming pools was good for the kids. There was a ping-pong table that our family enjoyed right behind the lobby. Also, there were some additional activities such as bingo, for anyone that wanted. I thought the location was good in that it was only about 5-10 minutes from most of the places we went within Sedona. Please be forewarned, you do not want to stay up in the mountain area. The traffic gets really bad up that way, near Slide Rock, and it's pretty far from everything.

My husband and I just got back from Sedona; staying at the Summit Resort. We stayed in one of the new Mesa Studio Units which was very nice, spacious and clean - there were no issue's with our Room. I have to admit that I was very nervous after reading so many negative reviews; however we really enjoyed out stay at the resort. The view from our balcony was not great since we were on the bottom floor however all I had to do was move over to the left side of the balcony or go out the front door and the views were beautiful. When we checked in we had a very nice women who did not push the time sharing sales pitch on us; my Husband told her politely that we were not interested and the pitch stopped. However there was a couple next to us that were checking in with a staff member who was a younger gentleman whom was relentless about the time sharing; so use some caution when checking in! The cleaning staff never did check in on us or clean our room.......that would be the only draw back however the door to the cleaning supply room was left open so I went right in and helped myself to what we needed. They provided us with 6 bath towels and 4 pool towels so 2 people should be fine if you don't mind using using your towels more than once; if you want fresh towels then mid week you will probably have to ask the staff to come by your room. The pools were nice and clean as were the spa's/hot tubs and there are built in grills for outside cooking. If you are looking for a resort that is down town - don't stay here. This resort is in the early part of the town and is secluded. We enjoyed this fact and drove everywhere we needed to go in Sedona; which takes no more than a few minutes up to 20 minutes top! The roads are very easy to get around. If you are looking for night life - Sedona is not the place for you. Sedona restaurants close every night by 10pm and there are only two bars that stay open after 10am. Jerome and historic Cottonwood are fun day trips. Rent yourself an SUV that has high ground clearance, but a $15 Red Rock Pass and drive yourself around the fire roads and do some hiking - this will save you the $70-$100 charge that the jeep tours cost and you will be on the same roads as they are traveling on. Great food at the Barking Frog, Open Range, Oak Creek Canyon Brewery and Dahl and Dalhia's Restaurant. Sedona is a beautiful place and the resort was very nice; we would stay here again.
