“Clean, comfortable and convenient”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

We stayed in an upgraded 1 bedroom. It had everything a family of 4 would need. The location is convenient to main part of Sedona, if you have a car. Otherwise, I suggest a hotel closer to town. The hotel had several pools and nice amenities along with a beautiful view of surrounding mountains.

My Wife and I stayed at a one bedroom/studio rooms. We found the rooms to be very spacious, clean and comfortable. Midweek they came and cleaned our room and did a good job. We went through the 90 minute sales pitch but it was not too painful. It lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes and we got a $75 gift card which we used for a jeep rental the next day. We used the 25 person spa and there was no one there it was a wonderful thing to do after a day of sight seeing just for my Wife and I. I would recommend this resort and would stay there again.

Room Tip: Book ahead of time.

We decided to spend our 6th wedding anniversary at Sedona Summit. Our request for a "sunset" room was granted and we had a beautiful view of the red rock mountains on the second floor, bldg. 34. From our balcony we could see the pool and the very large jacuzzi that was inviting and we used it many times during our week stay especially in the evening. Overall our week stay was wonderful. We arrived on a rainy Friday and enjoyed the double rainbow right in front of us from our balcony, but the rest of the week was dry and warm into the 80's. Our 10 hour drive from the central coast of California was lighter than expected. We took the 166 to Bakersfield, then 58 to Barstow, then 40 to Flagstaff and 89A to Sedona. Our adventure took us to Jerome, which is a must town to see. I bought some gorgeous Native American jewelry there and we had fun walking up and down this very vertical old ghost town. There is a large parking lot within the town so no need to park on the street and walk uphill. We had a great meal at the Haunted Burger with spectacular views of the valley. We took advantage of driving to all of the great places to see in Sedona and took little hikes and a picnic one day. We also had the best meal I've had in years at Dahl and DiLuca. The service was superb with the food tasting fresh and delicious! Sedona was beautiful as was our condo at Sedona Summit!

Room Tip: We requested a "sunset" room and were surprised that we had a queen sized bed instead of a...

We came to Sedona to see the changing leaves and enjoy the scenery, and were very pleased with the accommodations. The hotel is a couple miles from the center of town, but very quiet as a result. We had a one bedroom unit (2 bedroom units were not available) for four of us, but the hide-a-bed was comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped (even a blender), the fireplace was a nice touch, and the walk-out patio very inviting. There was even a newspaper at the front door in the morning, and having parking very close to the unit was nice. I'm a light sleeper, so having a relatively quiet heating/cooling system is important, and this one was fine. All considered, I'd definitely recommend the Sedona Summit.

Room Tip: I'd recommend a first floor unit, and being close to the pool & hot tub was nice.

Perfect that it's not right in Uptown Sedona, less traffic, no street lights, and you really have the quiet ambiance. On the hill, so you have a great view of the mountains from each room and one of their 6 jacuzzis on the property. The room was very clean. But you are also less than a minute from the great shopping and trails in the area. Truly breathtaking. I followed the tips of another review to ask for a room on the west side of the property so our balcony view was only mountains. They gave us the ground floor so all the ground shrubs kind of blocked the view, so next time I would request a second floor room. But it was still beautiful. Our villa was one of the Mesa rooms, it included a bedroom with a door vs the standard room which is all out in the open with the kitchen and living room. Nice and comfortable king size bed. I would stay here again most definitely. Only downfall was the timeshare speal. 5 hours after arriving from the airport and starving, it was not what I had planned. But they tried their best to be accomodating and compensate us for our time while we were there. Really overall a wonderful trip!

Room Tip: West side of property facing mountains (across street from the lobby/check in building). Ask for se...

My wife, son, and I stayed at the Sedona Summit Resort in one of their two bedroom "summit" rooms. Our room was next to the border of the property and we could easily walk out the back porch and do a small hike.

The room was amazing. The granite counter tops were a few levels above the basic granite counter tops. The appliances were all stainless steel and the doors were heavy wood ones.

The staff was very friendly and always eager to help.

The BBQ grills were viking grills. Top notch ones that produced enough heat to seer your meat if you wanted it.

They have an activities area that has ping pong, billiards, fooseball, shuttle board, and a few other games which was a nice way to spend a few hours.

Their weight room was clean and well stocked for a resort. You will not find every piece of equipment out there but good enough to work up a sweat.

I would say to research the area before going there. They did have a map with some of the common attractions, but it's always better to research things to do before going.

The Summit was a nice place to call home while on vacation in Sedona. It's in West Sedona, away from the hustle and bustle of "uptown" but if you have a car and I'm asuming that most do when visiting, it's a short drive. We had requested a room with a view, however, our view was of the highway. Not noisy and in a newer unit, I can only suspect that this was because we said no to the tour when we got our "courtesy" confirmation call a few days before hand, lol. Oh well, we were just in the room to sleep as there is so much to do in Sedona. The only negatives about our room were the couch (dirty and extremely uncomfortable) and the pillows. Nice firm bed, however, the pillows were like cotton balls shoved into the case...awful! What's funny though is that they say you can buy these luxurious pillows. Despite this, as I said it was a nice place to call home during our stay. The staff is friendly, adult pool was quiet, the unit was clean. All in all a nice place.
