“Lovely old hotel”
Reviewed May 9, 2012

This hotel is priced right around $200 a night for an upgraded room which was comparible to the other rooms in the area at downtown hotels. The room had a fireplace, fridge and microwave, and was a spacious room.
This place is seriously within step of downtown Sedona as it sits in the lot behind the Jeep rental place where the buses park during the day and the public restroom is. The views from our room were breathtaking as well as the sunrise from our balcony and sunset from the back entrance. You could see Merry go Round, Turtle, Mushroom, Snoopy and Elephant Rocks while sitting on your balcony. From the front entry, you could see the ship and several other formations.
If you have a problem with stairs, be sure to request a ground level room as there are no elevators!! But in our building, the main level had big bushes and trees preventing you from viewing the rocks!
We did not eat the free breakfast buffet due to fact that the food for lunch was just mediocre and the pizza was awful and burnt the first night when we tried it! Plus past reviews of the buffet had rated it as being bad! We instead ate breakfast every morning at the coffeepot restaurant and it was delicious as it was 7 years ago when were last there! There are definitely enough other restaurants in the area to choose from!!!!

Room Tip: Ask for ground level room if you have any problems with stairs! Request main stone building as it i...

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for the 1st time at begining of May 2012 -and the 2 reasons why:
close proximity to uptown Sedona (walk everywhere, never worry about parking) and the red rock views from our balcony.

Pros: Excellent staff, our room had excellent views, (not all do), proximity -right in the heart of Uptown Sedona. Free breakfast, though it wasn't the best -it wasn't the worst.

Cons: Price, for this rate, I expected not to have to "schlepp" my luggage up 2 flights of stairs on my own, room was definitely very 70's/80's inspired, but it was clean. Beds are not firm and hurt my back after only 1 night.

Overall, I'd go back (take less luggage) and hope for better beds.

Room Tip: request a red rock suite 2nd floor, best red rock views.

Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a night or 3 here if you're visiting sedona, one of the stand out highlight hotel of mine and my fiances 2 week tour of Arizona and Califronia. Amazing location, wonderful views, spotless modern rooms, impecable grounds, true genuine customer service as only america knows how, my only complaint was only booking one night. Cannot praise this place enough FAB best 120 pounds ive ever spent on a hotel room. Guy on reception really helpful and friendly in advising where to go and at what time!

Room Tip: get a room with the view it wont let you down,

We stayed at The Orchards Inn for 3 nights in late April. Room was clean and bed and bedding was very nice and comfortable. Check-in was easy and fast. The free breakfast coupons for a nearby buffet were a great perk! The breakfast buffet was just a typical breakfast buffet but sells for $9.99 per person without the coupon, so we were glad to have the free coupons everyday! The best part of this hotel is the location! Right in the heart of all the shopping and dining in Sedona! There was a pool and a hot tub, which we could see from our balcony but unfortunately never had time to enjoy it. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We had a room in the main bldg., with a fireplace and a balcony. Very nice! Would definitely wan...

We stayed for three nights in this hotel. The plus features were that it is centrally located, has a small kitchen in the room, 3 sinks, so you are never waiting while your partner is busy. Nice little deck with a view of the red rocks. On the negative side, the walls are like paper, so you can hear the neighbors at any time of day. For us it was the smoker next door that got up at 5 a.m. for a cigarette and coughed and hacked until she was finished. Not a very pleasant way to start the day. The bonus is that you get to see the sunrise.
The front desk staff were very helpful with restaurant advice and were willing to do whatever was asked of them. Maintenance staff and cleaning staff were very friendly also.
Otherwise a very average experience.

The location is perfect right in the middle of the picturesque old town of Sedona and the view was spectacular. We stayed in what was a "standard" room These rooms were well appointed, luxurious and ours was very spacious on the lower floor (2 queen beds) with lots of room, modern, light and airy and perfectly clean. It all looked quite new and recently renovated....I would drag this room round the USA with me if I could as we've often paid a lot more and got a lot less. The price was great, they say its the best value in Sedona and it cetainly seemed to be true. However, that does not infer there is anything wrong with this place, quite the opposite as rooms and view we had were far better than he Hilton so unless you're especially wanting to be waited upon hand and foot, then stay here instead.! I couldn't fault it.

Room Tip: Standard rooms are on lower floor, and have individual patio areas and seating, but not totally priv...
