“WOW! Just WOW!”
Reviewed April 17, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

This was our second time to Sedona this year, and this time we had the fantastic good luck to find this house when a house we stayed in before wasn't available. SO thankful for that! This was the BEST rental we have stayed in. The house is beautiful, updated, and perfect for our family of 4! The master bedroom and bathroom were luxurious! And the VIEWS!!! The best in the Village ;) Spent many a night sitting in the family room just watching the sun set over Castle Rock right basically right outside the front door. The Village of Oak Creek is by far a better place to stay than in Sedona itself. Quiet, plenty of amenities and close to EVERYTHING without having to deal with the traffic of downtown. This will be our go to house on our next trip! Thank you for a FANTASTIC stay! PS Owners were also incredible responsive and a pleasure to deal with. The Red Rock pass that is available to use is an added bonus ;)

“Still great for our second stay”
Reviewed March 23, 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Fantastic great room with a wall of windows looking up at a pinnacle, a butte and a ridgeline -- and looking out at flora and fauna. Excellent kitchen. House size perfect for us but could feel a little cramped for more than 4 people. The master bed is quite firm. Separate deck and patio.

Dynamite location. Walk or cycle to a nearby trailhead. Many retail amenities in The Village of Oak Creek -- some within walking distance. No traffic problems; contrast this with what you may encounter trying to go anywhere when you stay in Uptown Sedona, in Oak Creek Canyon, in West Sedona, or south of the "Y."

Pleasant and responsive owners.

“Excellent Property”
Reviewed January 17, 2016 for a stay in December 2015

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. We have vacationed in Sedona for many years and rented many properties, but this is the best so far. As we said in our last review, it offers a beautiful view, safe and quiet neighborhood, large lot, well-stocked kitchen, well decorated interior, close to hiking trails, and overall very clean. The owners even provide a hiking past which is required on most trails in Sedona.

The owners are easy to work with and respond quickly to any inquiries.

Oh, and they also have wi-fi.

“Pictures don't do it justice”
Reviewed October 18, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

The owners were great to work with. This house was beautifully set up and while the footprint wasn't huge, the vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and furniture gave it a great sense of space and openness. We were traveling with our daughters who are in their 20's and there was plenty of room for everyone. The L-shaped couch was a great spot to crash and relax after hikes.

This is in Oak Creek which is quieter and less congested than Sedona which is only a few minutes drive. Close enough to walk to Bell Rock which we did to watch the shadows on the rocks during sunset. Mid day walking could be a little toasty (look for shade) but the late afternoon was delightful. The views were breathtaking and I slept with the blinds open in the master bedroom so I could gaze out at the stars and see the outline of the red rocks from the bed. I claimed the favorite chair in the great room and would just gaze up at the view and fit in a nap.

I love that the cleaning staff would leave behind certain items that could be helpful from previous renters. We didn't have to buy any pantry items which can get expensive and wasteful for short stays as well as sun block, laundry soap, dish soap etc. There was a spot with books that other visitors left behind, no DVD's or netflix but there's a redbox by the Circle K right down the street.

We fit in the regular hikes, Bell Rock which is close by and a nice starter hike. Including the Courthouse Butte loop brings it up to a 2 hr round trip pretty easy hike with lovely views and we did stumble upon a vortex. The second time my daughter and I came pretty close to a rather large pack (from the sounds of it) of coyotes on Big Loop trail and got to see one of the big guys running to meet his buds. We elected to give them their space as it was a chorus of the most eerie and increasingly loud sounds we have ever heard. Really cool!

Cathedral Rock is lovely and if you start from the ranch, you get to start and end the hike in the forest following the creek which breaks up the heat and is lovely on its own. There is only one real crossing at the creek and the water was over the crossing rocks at this time. After a failed attempt and returning the next day when our shoes were dried, we shuffled across barefoot. The stones are better to walk on then the flat surfaces which are mossy slate and VERY slippery and treacherous. Next time we will bring river shoes and make sure any valuables (phones etc) are in water proof bags as people do wipe out. Best to plan for it. You can access Cathedral from from a side street closer to Oak Creek but it was really limited in parking and you're not forced to walk through the forest which I think was a highlight.

Our last hike was Doe Mesa which is not a well traveled but awesome. It's a little more challenging but the views on the mesa were fantastic. The trail to the top is 3/4 mile so it's relatively short but it's narrow on the the cliffs and not for shaky knees or nerves. If you're bringing younger kids, do keep them in your group and keep them quiet (this goes for all hikes but was most noticeable here . On our way down a group was letting their 7 or 8 year old charge ahead and scream at the top of his lungs. Not safe for him or other hikers and totally inconsiderate of what should be a quiet surrounding.

We are definitely going to return and our first choice would be to stay at this house.

Liked best: The stunning views and the set up of the house which was beautiful
Liked least: The master bathroom is beautiful and spacious but there was no door (toilet was set back behind the shower) so if you wanted privacy you needed to close the bedroom door. I'm not sure if they'll be adding a door.

“One of the best appointed vacation homes we have visited.”
Reviewed August 12, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Besides the spectacular views from almost every vantage point in the home, our family found this house ideally placed to pursue biking and hiking. We found a grocery store only a five minute drive from the house. "Downtown" Sedona with all its attractions was a relatively brief drive up the road, between more spectacular cliffs.

Within the house we found a helpful binder with information about using appliances and the gas grill, as well as brochures, maps and menus for area restaurants and attractions.

I particularly enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen, since part of the point of renting a house rather than staying in a hotel is the option to cook some meals at home. It was nice to find a number of spices, salt and pepper, mustard and ketchup, etc, all the little things which you would like to use but hate to buy for a relatively short stay. This was very welcome!

I would rent this house again readily, we had such a wonderful visit to Arizona.

“Absolutely Perfect!”
Reviewed July 28, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We have styed in many vacation rentals, and this one ranks among the very best! Beautiful location convenient to Oak Creek Village, Bell Rock, and Cathedral Rock. The patio view is magnificent with gorgeous sunsets behind the red rocks. The kitchen is stocked with everything! There are maps, books, and a Red Rock Pass. It is quiet, peaceful, and the beds are really comfortable. The six of us, ages 12-66, loved every minute of our stay.
