Dan's Bistro is a wonderful little restaurant in a small strip mall. Eating here is meant to be an enjoyable dining experience, not a quick meal where you are immediately served and urged to leave. Normally places like this are incredibly expense but eating here was very reasonably priced. One warning Dan's Bistro doesn't have a liquor license but they allow you to bring your own wine or beer for a $6 cork fee. Since we had done some research on the restaurant we brought our own wine but not everyone knew to do this. Upon walking in the restaurant we were immediately seated without menus. At first this seemed a little odd until you realize that this is done so you can relax and enjoy each other's company. Since this was our first time here we asked the waitress for suggestions and we loved all of them. Instead of normal dinner rolls we were served warm fresh croissants, they were delicious. For appetizers we ordered smoked trout. My husband doesn't normally like smoked fish but he loved this dish. For our main dishes I ordered the beef bourguignon and my husband had the bouillabaisse. We were devoured our meals. Everything was excellent.
If you would like a fabulous dining experience in the Sonoma area this is the place to go.
