Six of us traveled to Sedona for a guys golf outing. Seven Canyons was at the top of our list. What we found was very disappointing despite the great views. Evidently the Club is attempting to go private, has a private club liquor license, and you cannot get any alcohol unless you are a member or a guest of a member. No bev cart on course at all. Carts are worn. The course condition was spotty - poor fairways, devot ridden greens, poor directions to holes, charge you almost $11 for a course guide, and under maintained tee boxes. On the plus side, the dining room has good food and the staff is friendly, wanting to assist. Would never go back. Oh yes, only one restroom on the course and it is on hole 13.

What a FLOP....yes, the views are gorgeous, but the course is NOT what you would expect for the amount you pay to play there. Several greens were in terrible shape having to move my ball just to have a more smooth putt to the hole. The cart paths were not easy to follow to the next hole especially trying to find the 9th hole after stopping by the clubhouse(after hole 8). We ended up on hole 18 by mistake due to the lack of markings. When we did stop by the clubhouse for light refreshment, my husband was asked if we were members as he tried to buy 2 GROSSLY OVERPRICED canned beers. Of course we were not members since we traveled to AZ from NC for a wonderful golfing experience. When the bartender asked if we we guests of members, the answer was again NO. Some nice gentleman spoke up in the lounge and gave his member number and said we were his guests. REALLY???? You open a course to the public, and the general public playing YOUR course is not welcome to buy refreshments??? TAKE YOUR OWN. Let them keep their overpriced refreshments. Why am I so irritated?? We played 3 other courses prior to this one, wanting to save the "the BEST for last". Well, my suggestion is for you to play the Sedona Golf Club at the Hilton resort for views just as good and a SPECTACULAR kept course. We played for $35 per person by purchasing tee times on line. They were kind, courteous, and helpful. It was a MOST SPECTACULAR golf event for us. Skip the overpriced, overrated Seven Canyons. There are several other really good courses in the $25-$35 range per person.

One word describes Seven Canyons GC........WOW! If you enjoy traveling and playing unique golf courses then this is one for your bucket list. Most golf courses have one or two signature holes. Every hole on this course is spectacular with the Sedona Red Rocks in view on all 18 holes. Playing conditions were good with the greens a tad slow but well maintained. Several holes require strict course management with severe dog legs and hazard placements. The staff was friendly and attentive. Food service in the clubhouse grill was very good for both breakfast and lunch after the round. If you are in the Sedona area take the time to play Seven Canyons and enjoy the view!

If you want to combine touring and golf you can't beat this course. The view on every hole is spectacular! We took more pictures than strokes. Bring plenty of balls, the fairways are narrow.... And the view distracts!

As advertised it is a beautiful place, however, the course is not in good shape and it is way overpriced. Worst of all the general manager made it clear that the general public is only allowed there because they need revenue since the club is just coming out of bankruptcy. If you are a "non-member" , you cannot even get a beer in the clubhouse unless you are a guest of a member!
