“Best Star Gazing Experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013

Upon arriving at the star gazing location, we were guided through the grass field by a staff. We joined a group of about 8-10 people, and chairs and blankets are provided. Chairs are the ordinary foldable kind with fabric as the back and the seat, with cup holders. Blankets are thick, and made of wool (from the feel of it, it's too dark to actually see the material). If you came dressed warmly as suggested, you definitely won't need another blanket (although they do provide extra ones upon request). The tour consist of introduction of major constellations visible in the sky, and of galaxies through a telescope. Our astronomer, Rick, was ever so amazing throughout the whole tour. Detailed explanation and helpful with any question, if asked. Of course, it's not just a boring old tour of the stars. Rick entertained our group by cracking jokes here and there, and if I have to say so myself, they're pretty funny. Although the price is a bit expensive ($60 for 1.5 - 2 hours of experience), it is worth every penny. Would definitely come again when I have the chance!

“Sedona Sky's”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2013

Where we stayed at Sedona Summit was away from city lights and you could look up in the night sky and the number of stars and their brightness took our breath away. Several lovely nights were spent sitting in the spa, sipping a nice wine and star gazing. Life is good!

“Star light, star bright!!!!”

On a clear night you can see forever! Especially if you are on the Star Gazing Tour in Sedona on September 27, 2013. Great experience. Worth the time out of our very tight schedule. This turned into a two hour adventure with a leader who was knowledgable and passionate about the constellations and the heavens above. Really appreciated the comfy chairs and blankets. Don't miss this tour - when was the last time you sat outside and just looked up at the stars!!!!!

“Not Worth the Price”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2013

Way overpriced, this attraction consisted of twenty people sharing two telescopes, allowing a total of maybe five minutes viewing time and one hour and forty five minutes of lectures. Yes, the two astronomers were informative, and to be fair we went out on a moonlit night, but at sixty bucks a pop you could attend a lecture at a local museum and anyone can enjoy stars at a place like Sedona, all for free. Then again, there isn't a whole lot to do in the evening once supper is over, so it is something to do.

We appreciate your feedback, however, we will agree to disagree on the value of our experience. When compared to other Sedona attractions like jeeps, hot air balloons, airplane rides and other excursions the price of our attraction is purposefully priced in the mid to lower range.

For comparison of local stargazing experiences, a local observatory or museum stargazing experience will cost $12 per person. That experience will entail waiting in line for an hour in freezing temps with 100 other people for one 30 second look through a great historic telescope. No questions, no information and for a second look you can get back in line and wait another hour.

Our guests never wait more than 10 minutes to look at the next object and are wrapped up in down parkas and blankets we provide in chilly weather. This is part of the value we provide. We believe our stargazing experience is superior to every stargazing experience as evidence by the number of 5 star reviews we have received over the years. The value of our experience is well established and we have never raised our adult price in 8 years of business.

Our goal is to provide an informative, entertaining quality experience lead by professional astronomers. We use the highest quality instruments and are always in a small group environment. We pride ourselves in providing a personalized interactive intimate experience. We do that every single night. For the last 7 years, we are fortunate to have sold out nearly every night. Many nights we turn away guests in order to keep our small group philosophy intact. All of these facts indicate to us as a business that we are priced fairly for the Sedona market.

We invite you back, to come for FREE as our guests, on your next visit and allow us to impress you. Try to avoid another full moon night.

The dark sky ordinance makes the Sedona sky light up like no other night sky! Take a quick trip up to the Golf Resort for an extraordinary view!
