We flew over the Grand Canyon in Piper Chieftain. This is an eight passenger plane and we were with six. The pilot was very experienced. He was knowledgeable and friendly. This is the only way to see the Grand Canyon. The trip lasted 90 min and was breathtaking. I highly recommend this company and this tour.

We do a lot of excursions in wonderful places, and this by far was top notch. We took the 35 minute ride, and it went too fast. This is the way to see Sedona. After the jeep tour, driving, and hiking, the view from above put the whole area into a new perspective. I would highly recommend taking this tour.

What a lovely way to see Grand Canyon. We took a 2 hour tour with a single engine Cessna. Our flight was comfortable, our pilot was great especially with our kids. Definitely recommended.

Took in the Ancient's Way Signature helicopter tour and it was fantastic. We booked with them directly and found all the staff very friendly and accommodating. If possible, book with them directly and take in the scenic drive and look outs on the way to reservation center at the Sedona Airport. They try to upsell you a recorded DVD of your ride at the end but at $25.00 we declined.

If you'd like to imagine yourself as Meryl Streep and Robert Redford in "Out of Africa" or you just have it on your 'bucket list' as a flying experience that you missed, taking the open cockpit bi-plane in Sedona is a winner. The red rock canyons of Sedona are famously stunning but It wasn't the sights below as much as it was feeling so luxuriously free in the air that was so special. To our way of thinking, we lucked out a bit with some wind that made the flight a bit more exciting than a ride in an amusement park. Our pilot had begun introducing us to the plane as we walked out on to the tarmac, telling us of its origins and the safety of flying it. His confidence and love of flying over Sedona proved contagious. We relaxed and, after figuring out how to get into the cockpit, set up our Go Pro camera and took off. It was a lot of fun. Twenty minutes is plenty, satisfying - called The Classic Tour. We didn't mind the noise of the engine. We enjoyed the pilot's narration of the sights below and we laughed a lot. And we came home with a video of beautiful Sedona framed by the shiny red wings of a bi-plane. I did find that the photos I took with our digital camera complemented the video with greater clarity of the terrain below.

For those of you who like some details. The bi-plane and airport are located on a plateau just outside the town of Sedona and the views from up there are pretty fabulous all by themselves. There are a couple lookouts and a motel up there. The folks in the office where you book your tour are very friendly and helpful in dealing with any fears you might have. There's a bathroom and shop in the office where you can buy a sweatshirt if you're cold. Hey, no bathroom on board, no snacks and no flight attendants :) But across the parking lot is a very small airport terminal with a small lunch room where you can, if you wish, sit and watch planes taking off and landing on a very small landing strip. The Classic Tour is $129pp and totally worth it.
