“great lunch after mtn-biking the buttes!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

This place has a bit of a wait, but the food is decent value and fairly generous portions. The pastries and fresh bread smell delicious and get your appetite working. I got a sandwich with great side of pasta salad, My kids really liked the iced tea, blue-berry lemondade and the pastries. Sandwich was fresh and bread delicious. Would definitely return in a heart-beat (but only if I had a little extra time before any other scheduled activities). The expresso coffee drinks are good as well.

“Locals Hangout That Welcomes Out-of-Towners”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

We're locals--we live in Sedona--so we get to hang out at the Desert Flour Bakery whenever we feel like we need a sugar rush from one of the pastries, or it's one of those "I don't want to cook" nights and we order the $25 for two specials. The latter refers to the price for two people to order a small pizza, two salads, and two glasses of wine. It's enough for a satisfying dinner, and you get to select which type of pizza, salad, and wine you want from a small list of choices.

Out-of-towners stop by for the Starbucks coffee, the pastries (breakfast and dessert), Haagen Daz ice creak, or something from the full bar. When we dined earlier this week, there were five or six locals sitting at the small bar, chatting it up with one of the staff. But we chose a table at the other end of the restaurant that gave us privacy, a place for quiet dinner conversation, and plenty of room.

On weekends, expect most of the visitors to be sitting outside at one of the tables with an umbrella. There is a water bowl for your dog--it's pet friendly. Park on the side of the restaurant, rather than in front to avoid a fender bender.

“Mouth watering bakery...”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

You walk in and are immediately overtaken by the scrumptious looking things in the glass case in front of you...incredible pastries, breads, etc.
I had eggs, sausage and 9 grain bread! The 9 grain bread was chewy and full of grains...healthy and delicious..two huge oval pieces.
My husband had the grilled cinnamon roll...cinnamon roll dough grilled on a griddle and served with syrup. I tasted it and WOW!
We were going to get a couple of pastries to go, but by that time the line was out the door...so sadly we exited without them.
Go if you are ever down the Red Rock Scenic Byway...you won't be disappointed.

“Delicious Pizza in an Unexpected Place”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

Desert Flour was suggested to us by the hosts at our B & B and when we entered, we weren't sure it was a good idea but we were soon won over by the delicious salad, pizza and the great beer selection . The pizza was particularly good and the baked goods looked fabulous - we were just too full to try them, unfortunately!

“It's all about the crumb bun!!!”
Reviewed March 30, 2013 via mobile

The perfect NJ crumb cake was here, in Sedona. What a pleasant surprise! We went back everyday for more, but there were none ... How disappointing. The coffee is Starbucks.
