The Bell Rock is a must see in Sedona! We captured some great photos and Courthouse Rock is right next to it so you can see both at the same spot.

Wonderful easy and more challenging walks; go in the evening when the light does wonders to the mountains. Our pictures show golden mountains!
Easy round trip walk and good parking at least when we went.

went as a family of 4. The teens and my husband climbed up. There is a flat path that encircles the rock formation that was more up my alley. So something for all. Go in the AM. We went mid-day and it is HOT.

If you came here to see the Red Rocks and you didn't visit Bell Rock, you've missed the formation commonly recognized as the symbol of them. Though this review is being written in August, the trip was at the end of February after an unusual wet, gloppy snowstorm. This added some interesting variety to the (literally) thousands of photos I've taken of Sedona over the years with sunny skies and shirt-sleeve weather.

I've checked the box saying that bathroom facilities are available, since there are pit toilets at the primary trailheads. Also, there is no fee charged *if* you have purchased a Red Rocks pass that lets you park in the Red Rocks area. For those "of a certain age" (like this reviewer), you'll likely save a few bucks if you purchase a lifetime National Parks pass, available at the main visitor centers.

This area has the best climate in the country in my opinion. I have lived here for more than 25 hears and it offer a lengthy spring and fall and a short hot summer and short cool winter. This all adds to the beauty of the red rocks which Bell Rock is in the top three most coveted. It is solitary yet walking distance from great hotels and resorts. It is hard to expain the beauty so get out here and see it for yourself.. Sept Oct and Nov are the best. Did I mention that the trails are pristeen and available skill wise to all ages. I mentioned that there was a fee involved in this review. It is called a Red Rock Pass which is minimal and lets you park and use all of the facilities outdoors in Sedona. It is well worth it.
