Very scenic hiking, need boots and water. It is a very busy hiking trail so early morning is best. Easy flat hike.

We went off the track and would not recommend it unless you are seriously fit and have climbed before. Well worth the effort even if I was scared the whole climb!!!

Dominates the entire landscape when driving north thru Oak Creek.

The flatland part of the hike is quite long so take plenty of water and use sunscreen. The hike up the bell is moderate for the most part, but has some difficult areas. Definitely, not a place for the weak of heart.

Do your preliminary research. Park in the lot, pay for a day pass at the on-site vending machine, then allow plenty of time to hike around the paths, checking out the Bell Rock vortex. Notice the twisted Juniper trees. Bring bottled water and perhaps a packed lunch because you will want to linger awhile.
