When booking this hotel, the pictures provided on their website lead you to believe that rooms were surrounded by stunning views. This is only somewhat the case. If you want views, you need to ask for the 3rd floor east-facing. And you will be sharing them with other patrons as the views are from a public patio space. Be there for sunsets! Stunning.
Rooms were ok. Luckily we had 2 queen beds in ours since the first bed we turned back was full of hair. Ew! Carpets need a good cleaning. Bathroom alright, although lighting above vanity is poor. It seems the cleaning staff spray the room down with some sort of lemon scent after cleaning. Our ground floor room felt a bit cheap and motel-y. Beautifully maintained grounds though.
Breakfast was disappointing, in comparison with other Best Western's we've stayed at. Eggs were cold. Coffee tasted really cheap. Food ran out. Dining area very utilitarian. Staff indifferent. Ah well, included in the price so can't complain too much.
The highlight of this hotel is the staff who are very friendly and helpful, including the shuttle driver. We also appreciated the free internet in the lovely lobby.
We recommend actually hitting up the many more restaurants/amenities heading out of town on the 89A instead of going into old town.
Overall, a decent stay for a fair price. Great location.More
