“Home Sweet Home!”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

Thank you Universe for directing us to A Sunset Chateau B&B! The moment we walked into the artistically decorated reception area, and were greeted by Janet and Philippe the owners of the B&B, I felt I had arrived home. We loved our Casita #3, the views were amazing and with all the comforts of home. I would like to move in and never leave! The grounds were landscaped and artistically designed, with beautiful original wooden and metal sculptures, native plants and flowers. The vast grounds were designed with special places to enjoy the gorgeous surrounding red rock views. There are several hammocks, a comfy couch swing, and a very comfortable lounge patio bed to enjoy a sky filled with magical Sedona stars. The salt water pool and jacuzzi were so refreshing and luxurious after a hike in the red rocks. Also, the mural surrounding the pool area was beautiful, and with the fireplace and comfortable lounge chairs, once again, I felt at home. Each morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast outside on the patio. We were greeted with smiling employees, who seemed very happy to work there. We met other wonderful happy guests staying there from around the globe. Phillipe was a gracious host, and answered all of our questions about day trips in the area giving us precise directions, loved his sense of humor!. Janet was a sweetheart, very artistic and spiritual soul who I enjoyed connecting with. In the reception area there is original jewelry and beautiful artifacts to purchase. I love my purple bracelet! Thank you for a delightful stay at your very special Sedona Chateau for my 60th Birthday celebration!

This has to be the best B & B I have stayed in. It is beautiful, relaxing, peaceful & so well decorated. The landscaping outside is gorgeous. Everyone was so nice & helpful. The breakfast was so good every morning. The price was great for all that was provided. This is truly a hidden jewel. We will go back to stay there. I highly recommend it as one of the top places to stay in Sedona.

Room Tip: rooms 11, 12 ,13 & 14 face the waterfall so it sounds nice all the time. The view is so beautifu...

The inn was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was helpful, friendly and made sure that our diet needs were met. The views were phenomenal. There was someone always there to help plan our day or give us some suggestions.A very peaceful setting. A great place to sit back and relax. Highly recommended! We will be going back.

Room Tip: Higher floors have the best view of the Red Rocks.

We just came back from a wonderful week in Sedona. Sunset Chateau met and exceeded all of our expectations. The place is magical, relaxing, welcoming...truly charming with lots of character, extremely clean and well maintained. Our casita was adorable and super comfortable. It had a refrigerator so in the evening and after a long day of hiking we came back to enjoy a cold beverage by the pool or simply relax in the garden/patio area.
We also watched a few sun sets from the little porch outside of our casita.
Our breakfast every morning was delicious. The customer service was absolutely phenomenal, kind, nice, friendly, good, positive people. The waitresses were incredibly attentive. The owner was there every morning making sure that every guest had everything they needed. He gave us great recommendations on things to do. Across the street from the hotel is the beginning of a trail that will take you to the Airport Mesa Vortex, watching a sunset there is a must, it's beautiful. I can't say enough great things about this place....I'm so grateful that a friend recommended it. It was exactly what we wanted.

Room Tip: There is no fitness center but trust me, if you go hiking you will not need it. No room service but...

On a quick, overnight get-away from the higher temperatures in Tucson, we found this inn to be exactly what we were looking for! The room was spacious and well-appointed (although with the name 'Casablanca Room', the poster of Bogart could have been bigger) and the location afforded enough of a feeling of seclusion while still begin close to restaurants and shopping, etc. The staff accommodated our vegan diet very easily at breakfast, too. If you're planning on staying for a few days, the kitchenette looked like it could handle all your cooking needs.

Room Tip: If you want a view of the red rocks and the sunset, make sure to ask which rooms have the best vista...

We stayed at this boutique hotel for two nights on a trip out west. I had researched many places to stay before selecting A Sunset Chateau. We had one of the better rooms that was on the higher level. We had a great view of the red rocks and a nice little patio. My only complaint is that if you walk to the edge of your patio and your neighbors are standing on the edge of theirs, you can see each other. We had a great bathroom and a nice spa tub and separate water closet. It had a small kitchenette supplied with dishes and pots and pans if you wanted to cook. The breakfasts are included, and they are a real treat. Personalized omelets the second day were a real treat. There is a pretty pool area with a small sitting area with a fireplace. On the property there are other areas to lounge and view the scenery.

Room Tip: I would pay the little extra to get the nicest room.

A Sunset Chateau was far beyond our expectations. Our room was unit #7 and was impecable. I am a "detail" person and the room and grounds were just as I would have decorated my own home. All the decor and furniture is very nice and substantial. We loved the newly tiled shower and bathroom. Everything was very, very clean. We relaxed on our patio and enjoyed the view of the red mountains every evening. Also enjoyed the hot tub outside and 2-person jetted tub in our room. The gourmet breakfasts were excellent. Jean's hospitality and helpfulness in meeting our every need went beyond what we expected. He always greeted everyone individually with a smile and helpful information every morning at breakfast. Loved the fact that breakfast was served from 8:30-10:00 so we could go when we wanted and meet different people every day. Some even got up early and hiked before breakfast. The young ladies of the kitchen staff were very perky and happy to help. Thanks, Jean for such a relaxing stay for my husband and myself.

Room Tip: All rooms were beautiful and the bottom rooms probably have the best view of the mountains.
