We traded into the Ridge with an II exchange for a week. The surrounding area was absolutely stunning and the resort very attractive. We enjoyed the non-touristy setting a few easy miles and beautiful drive to Sedona. The golf course was wonderful and resort provided a nice certificate which provided a reasonable rate including golf rentals. Unable to get one or two bedroom units, we opted for two efficiencies, one for us and one for our son and his family [4]. Ours was fine and items worked well; kitchen was moderately furnished and cooking was a challenge. Our son's family was less fortunate - the pullout sofa was not that comfortable and the AC kept freezing - several nights they were without AC - fortunately the fan helped and the evening temps did drop eventually. However, the room was left was a lingering odor, possibly from the AC. Decor was attractive. We were close to the main building which was important because wi-fi was fee based and there were only two free computers in the lobby, so waits were common. The pool and view from it were pleasant. Did not use any of the resort activities, primarily becasue of the way they were scheduled; but we came for the AZ sites, so no problem. The resort is convenient to many national and state parks, sites, so day trips were easy and coming "home" nice. The staff were friendly and attentive; maintenance and housekeeping responded quickly and efficiently [other than being unable to correct the AC issue - had we been there during normal AZ heat, not sure what we would have done.]

Our new fave "apartment style" place to stay in Sedona. Staff was great. We liked being slightly away from the tacky tourist part of Sedona. My husband liked being on a golf course and the views of the red rocks, even from the pools, are great. Will book again

We are spending a week here at The Ridge on Sedona Golf Resort and have enjoyed it very much. The staff has been very attentive to any need we have had. We had trouble getting the ice maker to work the first night and they immediately sent someone to help us. Then they mad a follow-up call to make sure it worked.

We traded a week through Interval International to stay here and were very pleased with the unit we got. It had been updated with a granite kitchen, spacious living room (with fire place and dining area), large bathroom (with big tub), and bedroom with a very comfortable bed.

The resort charges $6.95/day for Internet unless you have ATT (which we did). Our ATT cell phone service was very poor on the property.

There was a very helpful 1-hour program that we attended that gave tips for seeing the area. We would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Although the view is better from the second floor, we requested first floor because of stairs. No elevators.

We are owners with Diamond Resorts and made our first visit to The Ridge on Sedona Golf Resort in June 2011. We enjoyed the peace and quiet so much we just had to come back for more. Right from our initial booking the resort staff were readily available to help with any requests we had - we didn't actually have any until the week before our arrival date when we booked an additional studio appartment for our adult son who had decided to come with us for some RnR. At that point I requested, if at all possible, to have our 1 bedroom appartment and his studio adjacent to one another. This was done in a heartbeat.

For members, there is now an advanced check-in, avoiding the line up at the front desk. Several days prior to arrival a designated concierge phones your home and provides their cell number and asks roughly what time you anticipate arriving. On the day of our arrival we phoned our concierge to confirm our time and were given our appartment numbers. We drove straight to our appartment where the concierge greeted us with our keys (cards) and welcome package. We declined the offer of the 'owners update' and were never asked again.

Our 1 bedroom and lock off studio we're on the upper floor with spectacular views. The appartments were nicely cooled and very clean, except for the stain or scorch mark left in the main room carpet by some other inconsiderate guest. We had one of the recently modernized units that is very well equipped with Kitchen Aid appliances. There is a washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, oven, stove top, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and dishwasher in the 1 bedroom units. Two large screen tv's with a dvd player and an IPod/phone doc finished off the furniture. The bed is king sized with good quality linen. I found the pillows not to my liking but then that is very subjective and a personal preference. All of the towels, including the pool towels appeared to be relatively new and soft. Just keeps hold of your pool towels because you will be billed if these go missing from your appartment. The 1 bedroom has sufficient cutlery and crockery for six people.

The studio occupied by my son was equally well equipped although without the washer/dryer and dishwasher. I guess that's what his parents are there for! Laundry facilities are available for those using a studio appartment only.

Both had very tastefully decorated modern bathrooms.

Being mid June it was pleasantly warm but the pool wasn't swarming with kids as most were still in school.

I don't know if is because we are owners with DRI but we also ended up getting a copy of USA Today delivered each day, Monday - Friday.

I never found parking to be an issue unlike another Diamond resort at SLT.

This year they appear to have sorted the wifi (free to members) and we could easily operate three iPads and three iPhones on the access codes provided to us when I booked.

The gas grills have been replaced this year but it might be an idea to have the tools at the appartment, unless they can be sourced from Geust Services - I never actually asked.

I would certainly return to this area and specifically this resort again.

Thank you for taking the time to post a positive review of our resort. Our staff takes pride in offering exceptional Customer Service to our guests, whether they are owners with Diamond Resorts or not. We are also pleased to see that our advanced check-in program for Diamond Resorts members was very beneficial for you, as well as the USA Today newspapers and Wi-Fi services that were provided. Gas grill accessories can be checked out at the front desk. We look forward to seeing you again in the near future, so that we can provide the same (if not better) level of Customer Service, accommodations, unit amenities, and relaxation that you experienced most recently.

Used exchange points for our trip...hadn't been to Sedona in many years...was initially disappointed when we couldn't get a place in Sedona....so glad because this place was
great....beautiful views of the red rock and quiet and serene...none of the touristy feel
of downtown Sedona. Only about 15 minutes into Sedona and the drive was absolutely
stunning...don't try to take photos, just take in the view...I can still enjoy it in my mind's eye... Definitely request 2nd floor as first floors are next to parking lots and there is no
privacy. Units are nicely lady out and kitchen are nicely appointed. It was great to have a wsher/dryer in our 1 BR unit...very convenient so we didn't have to check luggage :) Pool area very nice with gas grills - all very convenient to our unit. Balcony faced mountins...very nice - able to see wildlife and enjoy quiet evenings there. There are many signs warning of scorpions/snakes, etc. Have to say we didn't see any of these but instead various types of lizards and hummingbirds. This location
is very convenient to the various hiking trails and there are some grocery stores within
a short drive. We did not use the concierge inasmuch as we did not want to get sucked into any sales pitch....time is much more valuable than any "gift" you may get
for listening....

Use this place as a stepping stone for all the outdoor pleasures that Sedona has to offer!
