This is the place that we take all of our out of town visitors when they come in. You can not beat the view from the Chapel. It is a beautifully well made church situated up on the mountain top which you have to drive up a steep hill to get to and then another steep walk up to the top. It is well worth the effort. Downstairs from the chapel is a small gift shop crammed with a lot of stuff for sale.

My favorite Red Rock location. Great story behind the history of the Chapel, great view from up top. They even have mass if you want to attend a Catholic service.

We visited the Chapel of the Holy Cross on the Sedona Trolley trip. It was an architectural masterpiece that should be on everyone's list of things to do in Sedona. Outside there are several interesting religious pieces of art. Inside is simple yet reverent. They have a Taize Prayer Service every Monday at 5:00 pm, which we did not get to attend.

Make it one of your stops when visiting this magical city. You won't regret it!

While this spot may be crawling with people later in the day, we arrived at about 7am, long before it would open to the public at 10am. It is a truly spectacular location. Since the front door was open and a man was inside lighting votives, we quietly snuck into the vestibule to look around. The chapel itself is quite small, but the view is the real star here. Oh, and you can't miss the ostentatious house on the road before the Chapel. Enjoy the magic of this special place.

Saw this during our evening sunset tour. The view from there is also very nice and we noticed a magnificent private home down below!
