“Cheap Hotel posing as an Inn”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2010

This place is NOT a bed and breakfast or an Inn. It is a cheap motel with very small rooms and old furniture. The positives: It is probably one of the cheapest places to stay in Sedona and it is centrally located. It was pretty much a good place to "crash" but if we knew that it was really a cheap motel posing as an Inn, my husband and I would have stayed some place else and spent the extra money. I didn't eat the breakfast but my husband said it was cheap pre-packaged muffins from Costco. Also, the mattress was really worn and we could here the guy in the next room snoring! Needless, to say, we didn't sleep very well.

Our experience at the Baby Quail Inn was so good we decided to stay an extra two nights (instead of going to the the Grand Canyon). The staff are amazing, friendly, accommodating and apparently famous (the owner of the inn was a movie star in the 40-60s).

The room was great and the bathroom was HUGE! The grounds are really quaint with outside patios, a small fountain and a hot tub which came in really useful after hiking all day. The location is perfect it's right in the middle of everything; near great hikes, great shopping, and great restaurants.

If you're staying in Sedona and want a absolutely WONDERFUL experience stay at the Baby Quail Inn!

The Baby Quail is a terrific place. It was the cleanest hotel I've ever been to. The owners are wonderful and friendly people and the staff is great. I would recommend anyone coming to Sedona to stay at this quaint place. It's a 5-minute drive from Uptown and is very quiet at night.

Enjoyed our stay at the Baby Quail. While the room itself was small and dated it had a large bathroom with a nice shower with nice soaps and shampoo. The inn keepers were very pleasant and friendly. The courtyard was relaxing which included clean hot tub where we met some nice travelers. While the breakfast could use a bit of an upgrade it included fresh fruit ( bananas, apples and oranges) and wrapped pastries and muffins. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would stay again

First off, this is not a real B&B. It is an old motor motel on the outskirts of Sedona (in west Sedona which is away from the main part of town). The courtyard areas are very nice. That's about it. The room was very small and dirty. My white socks were black when we left. We could hear people in other rooms. We didn't hang around for the breakfast which we heard was more of a continental breakfast than a B&B type of meal. I'd sleep in my car before I'd stay here again.

I just returned from five nights in Sedona and enjoyed my stay at this inn. I was meeting up with a few other friends who were staying for two weeks but preferred to have a place of my own. Each morning, the B&B provides coffee, tea, fresh fruit such as bananas or apples in a basket, pastries individually wrapped and oatmeal in individual packets. If you prefer a lighter breakfast, this works out fine. If you prefer a little heartier of a meal, you can walk across the street to two places - New York Bagel & Deli or New Frontiers Natural Market. The inn is located in a residential section in W. Sedona on 89A which made me feel comfortable staying by myself. I walked thru the neighborhood each morning to take advantage of the fantastic view of Coffee Pot Rock and some other rock formations from the top of the street. The room itself was very clean, comfortable bed/pillows, two seater table, mini fridge, TV, VHS movie player and robes. The bathroom was a nice surprise as it had one sink and an extra large vanity area with a large, walk in shower(no bathtub). The owners make you feel very welcomed and can provide local information for things to see & do. There is a small hot tub in the patio area that I enjoyed most evenings. The room can accommodate two people comfortably and is really affordable considering the location. Kudos to the owners for providing nice lodging at an affordable price in such an exlusive place as Sedona, AZ. Thank you!!!

If you are planning on traveling to Sedona, AZ the Baby Quail Inn is a must. It is one of the best motels we have stayed at in our entire trip to Arizona. The rooms are fantastic, the owner and staff are just perfect. The Baby Quail Inn was like a home away from home. We highly recommend it to everyone.
