I recently stayed at the Sky Ranch and the location was just absolutely beautiful. The hotel is located near the airport ( I never heard any noise) its where the chopper tours etc take off from, so its located at the tippy top all alone and you get the most beautiful view of all Sedona, the Red Mountains, the city lights at night and the breath taking sunsets!

The grounds are managed beautifully and well kepted. the bar/pool are was nice as well. Front desk was super nice and helpful

The hotel rooms itself are very out dated. The rooms were built and never remolded in any way.
The price is great, you get a park space near the room and the pool is heated and just a few blocks from the main strip of Sedona!

I would stay again and high recommend-- but its realize that you are going for the views not for the out dated rooms

Excellent choice for your stay in Sedona! This lodge offers a fantastic view of the town, and has a private viewing area for the awesome Sedona sunsets. The rooms aren't fancy / luxurious, but they are clean and the whole property just offers a very warm and cozy feel. There is a cute little wine bar, as well as a pool and hot tub. The location is convenient as well, and they have a free shuttle which can drop you off at areas within town as well. Sedona accommodations can get very pricey, so this place was an excellent find...great value! Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Look no further for an affordable, low key place to relax, unwind and enjoy Sedona. The staff were warm and friendly, the rooms were older and not luxurious, but they were spacious and clean, and the views were fabulous. It was freezing during our December visit, but the outdoor Jacuzzi and lovely swimming pool were heated—what a treat to soak away the winter chill while gazing at the clear night sky! The room was warm and cozy with extra blankets available if needed (they weren’t). The hotel has a wine bar with a nice selection of wines. On warmer nights, you can sip away while watching the sunset at Sunset Point on the property. It’s also a short walk to one of the best burgers in town at The Mesa Grill. This will definitely be at the top of the list of our “go to” places any time we’re in Sedona!

I've been coming here for 27 years!
Still family owned, this sweet Airport vortex area. A room with a patio view of Coffee Pot and gas fireplace!
The beds are comfortable, bathrooms old but still have tubs for soaking after a hike. The price is 'right' nowhere will you get this price for the energy and view. Rim view room or the cottage house. Jacuzzi and pool.

Sky ranch lodge is a cross between a camp and a super 8. A clean, comfortable, place to sleep with small bathrooms. The garden and small pond were nice but in October not particularly colorful or dramatic The nicest part was the location when we drove to go somewhere you were 500 feet above the town with a gorgeous view of the rock cliffs around Sedona. It was also nice not to be right in town. They had a sunset, wine bar which we never made it to as we always got back after sunset, but I’m sure it would have been cool to watch the sun go down from there. We used the hotel as a base and traveled out each morning to the really cool rock formations, ruins, and cool little town Jerome, Grand Canyon, and Meteor Crater.

We loved staying here during our Sedona/Flagstaff/Grand Canyon vacation. The hotels itself is a cute, rustic lodge cabin kind of place, with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The hotel has a private, landscaped terrace that offers great sunrise/sunset views, a wine bar, a heated pool and spa. The grounds are landscaped with shrubs, flowers, plants, trees, and water features. Pet friendly. Every staff person was helpful and friendly. 100 yards away is the Mesa Grill, which had great food, and the airport, where you can book a helicopter or biplane tour of the amazing canyon. I would totally stay here and again and will recommend it to anyone going to Sedona.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a sunrise view

This is a great old place. The view is incredible, the rooms old, but very well maintained, the staff friendly, the rounds beautiful. I cannot think of a better place than 500 feet above Sedona to place a hotel. Very nice.
