We really liked the SRL. Most every one was very friendly and very helpful. The views were wonderful. Our room had an over sized refrigerator and a microwave. King bed and tons of room. The look out area is very nice. The house cleaning staff were the most awsome ladies!!!! I was glad to donate everything we could not bring back on plane. Cooler, beer chips, salsa, ect. The only downfall to this place is the ONE lady at the bar that thinks she is beer police. We were told on check in that we could drink our beer if we used a cup. Well NOT when she is working LOL. She kicked me out of the pool and told me to come back with no drink or get a drink from them. I went back and got one and she said she would be around pool to serve.3 hours later it never happened. Only downfall of this place is the new bar. You can't get served and you can't drink your own. I would stay again though and drink something she would have to taste to know if it was from bar LOL Grounds were beautiful and very quiet and like I said everyone but one lady was wonderful!

Room Tip: Take mixed drinks in a glass to watch sunset and go to pool. Beer police will get you!

My wife and stayed for two nights on the way to the Grand Canyon. The rates were great, the location was good and the room was so-so (a bit outdated, dim, slightly musty and had poor tv reception). That said, the bed was comfortable and there were great views from the grounds. Front office was helpful as well.

Our family stayed here for a wedding taking place in Sedona. We were delighted with Sky Ranch Lodge. We stayed in the more basic garden units which did have a small refrigerator and microwave. We were charmed by the gardens---paths, water features and plants. It felt very relaxing and away from the hustle of Sedona. Next time, I would book a unit on the ridge overlooking Sedona and with a sunset view. There was not a restaurant within walking distance while we were there, but I understand a restaurant will be opening soon at the nearby airport. Good value for the Sedona area.

Amazing how little one pays for a view this spectacular. The motel room is basic, but completely clean. My only complaint there is the polyester bed covering (yuck, they must change this!) The grounds are lovely, and the view of the sunset is unparalleled.

This is my second stay at Sky Ranch Lodge, some places in Sedona are very expensive, but this place is great. It is pretty basic but has everything you need. There is a restaurant next door at the small airport.
The grounds are really nice, it's a great vantage point for watching sunsets. The only thing I will say, is the decor & bed covers are the same as last time I went 9 years ago.
I will absolutely definitely recommend this place for a low priced stay over, and I will definitely be staying here again :)

Sky Ranch Lodge sits on the mesa above Sedona. It is family run and has lovely grounds, and best of all, has a private vantage point for viewing the Sedona sunset (there is a very busy public one near the entrance that is crawling with people). We had a partial view room. It was very large, with fireplace, microwave and fridge and a lovely balcony with table and chairs - a great place to enjoy our view of the red rocks over a cup of coffee (from in room pot) and breakfast bought at a grocery the night before (breakfast not included and no restaurant on site - or on the mesa). It was clean and comfortable and the grounds were impeccably kept. The internet wasn't reliable, but we were the farthest room from the router - and with a view like that, we didn't need to be on the computer. There is a new wine bar on site, but we brought our own wine along from a winery tour, so didn't use it.
We had a bathroom stool that ran constantly and leaked a puddle on the floor due to a broken wax seal. We told the front desk people - who were very helpful, friendly and easy to work with - and they assured us someone would be right over. Maintenance didn't get the whole message - fixed the running problem, but didn't realize about the puddle. When we returned that evening, we called the front desk and the repairman was there in less than 10 min. He recognized the problem immediately, but since it needed to be pulled to replace the ring and he was just back from back surgery, he apologized profusely and provided us with a towel dam, which worked fine - we're pretty easy and the property was so lovely and relaxing, we figured it wasn't a big deal.
The other guests were very friendly, kind and open to conversation - very nice when you spend an hour or so with them watching the sunset together. The awesome view of the red rocks is relaxing and mesmerizing, whether from the sunset viewpoint or your own balcony.

Room Tip: It is worth the extra money to get a rim view or partial view room. Garden view rooms have picnic ta...

Sedona was the highlight of our trip. Arrived Just before sunset. The drive up the hill is fab and private viewing area has great views.

Only complaint is that they not do food apart from crisps and nuts. So no brekkie.. But you can order in food from the town if you wish.

Cheapest beer we found which wa a bonus.

Would stay again
