My husband and I left the L'Auberge on April 14th after a five night stay and what a waste of money. When it was dry it was a dust bowl and when it was wet it was a mudslide. The construction was awful. We awoke to it every morning at 7 am. We stayed in a cottage and had a great view of absolutely nothing. The $25 dollar a day tip fee is outrageous! In terms of service we paid for five rides in a golf cart which we had to ask for. We had to park our car up the hill and be grilled each and every time we arrived by the personnel as to why we were there and what we were doing. The staff never remembered us, even though we would talk to the same person several times a day. Our travel agent had booked us at a rate of $275 per night, good thing we had it in writing and a confirmation number as they tried to charge us $380 per night. It doesn't stop there. Our total cost per night including tax and tip charge was $335. It was an awful lot to pay for the few begrudging service we received, the lack of view and the extremely early construction wake up call. All in all a por excuse for a 5 star establishment.

My wife and I stayed at L'Auberge for three nights in early April. The staff were remarkably friendly and the location is beautiful.

However, the hotel is severely overpriced. We stayed in a cottage (not creekside), at between $350-$380/night. Although clean, the cottages are not spectacular. They seem to be unable to decide whether the cottages should resemble a luxury resort or a rustic cabin. The result - a plain room that is neither. It's average.

Both the spa and the restaurant were similarly overpriced and underwhelming.

Overall, we had a decent vacation, but for the price, you could certainly find something much better.

The construction, while making a mess of the property (particularly when it rains), isn't too bad (we couldn't hear it in our room).

And you can barely pick up a Wi-Fi signal (if any) in the cottages.

Overall, it's a decent hotel in a great location, with great staff. But it is far from being a $400/night hotel.

Potentially this could have been a great place to stay, but we weren't warned about some major construction work going on ....... so instead of staying two nights we checked out after our first evening. Although the location and service at this hotel is great and the food at the restaurant good if not overpriced we feel it was unfair of the hotel not to give out sufficient warning of the amount of work that was being carried out not only to the current cottages surrounding us but also some huge diggers on the hillside and heavy plant moving through the resort during the day. visit by all means, but make sure they've completed the work before you go!

This hotel was absolutely perfect for our wedding. My husband and I wanted a destination wedding with just our immediate families present. We wanted to keep it small, romantic, and intimate. L'Auberge was just perfect! Their Intimate Wedding Package was just what we were looking for and the location overlooking the red rocks was so unique. We had dinner creek side at the Restaurant at Oak Creek after the ceremony. The atmosphere was amazing and the food and service was great. We could not be happier with our experience.

My husband and I hosted our wedding at L'Auberge in October 2008 and had an amazing weekend. We had visited and stayed on the property a few times prior to the wedding and had great experiences each time. The personal service, friendly staff, wonderful location, beautiful grounds and nightly wine tasting made our stays most enjoyable. Many of the guests who attended our wedding also stayed at the resort and can't stop talking about how great their vacations were. Many are heading back to L'Auberge on their own!

We could not have asked for a more beautiful, unique, fun or memorable wedding as we had at L'Auberge. The entire experience, from the planning stages to the main event, was positive, relaxing, and went more smoothly than I could have imagined. We could not have pulled it off without the help of L'Auberge's wedding coordinator, managers and other event planners. Their constant attention to detail and availability made our wedding planning experience a pleasure! We even had several headcount increases along the way that they helped us deal with in a calm (important for the couple!), professional and efficient manner. Any time we had questions, concerns and requests, or just wanted information, we received quick help and were accomodated very well. My husband and I felt very "taken care of" and by the end of the weekend, felt as if we were part of the team. That personal experience is very hard to come by, but L'Auberge does it well.

As far as the wedding venues themselves, they are some of the most gorgeous I've seen! Smaller venues are available for smaller weddings, but larger indoor and outdoor spaces are available for large weddings like ours. We were able to treat our guests to a wedding ceremony along the creek, cocktails on the garden looking out onto the red rocks, and dinner and dancing in the ballroom with the same gorgeous red rock views. I don't think it gets any better!

I HIGHLY recommend L'Auberge for anything from a vacation to your own wedding, and I can speak from personal experience because I've done both! Thank you to everyone there for very, very fond memories! We will definitely be back soon.

My husband and I had one of the most disappointing experiences at Lauberge in all of our years of travelling. Not only was the hotel wildy overpriced for it's appearance, but the service was terrible. A quick story will give quick clarity:
After a long hike we called the spa to shedule time in the couples whirlpool which is advertised on the website. The employee at the spa told us they were having a slow day and wanted to close the spa early. We were quite suprised since the spa was a main draw to the hotel. She then told us she would "think about it" and call us back. We never heard back so we called and kept getting voicemail. Finally we walked over to the spa and the employee was sitting right there! When we inquired about the whirlpool she said, and I quote, you really don't want to do that. It isn't very nice and it is very small. We then replied that it was advertised as a couples soaking tub and she responded "that is before i see what size you are!!!" keep in mind, i am 5 foot 2 and only 120 pounds! That evening there was a wedding at the hotel and we were never able to get through to either room service or the restaurant. When we called the front desk to ask for a restaurant recommendation in the area the employee said that he didn't know of any good restaurants in sedona! We promply checked out of the hotel and will never return! What a terrible waste of money!

Since the moment we arrived at the hotel, the service was beyond "AMAZING" We stayed at cabin #3 which had the creek view and also a stone platform were you can sit and enjoy the creek, the cabin has fire place, which it was hard to star but thanks to the WONDERFUL maintenance personnel, they kept on maintaining our fire lid up =) the evening we arrived they have complimentary wine with a wonderful young singer, which I know she will make it to the top one day!!! They also transport us in a golf cart into town so we didn't have to drive, everything was so pleasant and beautiful, even walking with more then two cups of coffee the personnel was eager to help. I will recommend this hotel to anyone, from a romantic getaway to a family getaway....Sedona and L'Auberge of Sedona is a MAGIC place.
