We spent Feb.9-14, 2014 at L'Auberge and were just delighted. The glowing reviews we read on Trip Advisor are all true - its a special place with a special staff. Everyone gave us the feeling that they cared about us having a nice stay and went the extra mile. The restaurant and bell staffs were just terrific and couldn't do enough for us. Special thanks to Alan who was our bus boy for several meals and was very helpful and knowledgeable and enriched our dining experiences. No one on the staff of any department was willing to accept a tip although they all deserved extra thanks for trying so hard. In addition to wonderful cozy accomdations and great food and an absolutely charming resort, L'Auberge offers a weekly series of lectures on a variety of topics. We had the pleasure to attend several of these lectures which were top quality and offered by knowledgeable practitioners, especially Deena Lee, PhD, who gave a wonderful 2 hour workshop on Soul Body Fusion. We would love to come back.

Room Tip: We stayed in 3 different rooms and thought they all had their own special charm - you can't go w...

We stayed three nights at L'auberge and it was also our first visit to Sedona. We can't say enough about our experience at this wonderful resort. Our garden cottage was perfect...we felt tucked away. The view from our deck in the morning was amazing and the sound of Oak Creek was a bonus. I became addicted to the cookies that were available each day at arrivals. And the location could not be beat.

The bed was humongous and cozy, the ability to build a fire each night was an unexpected delight. The food at the restaurant was delicious and perfectly portioned. But probably the best part of the whole stay was the service. From the front desk, restaurant, housekeeping and valet, every single employee we interacted with was friendly, accommodating and genuinely cared about ensuring we were having the best stay possible. We can't wait for our next visit!

Room Tip: We stayed in Garden Cottage #30 and actually thought we'd prefer that over the Vista cottages. B...

You found a Customer for life here. Kudos to Chase at Valet for his timely service with smile. Everyone was kind, courteous and top rate. The view from our Cottage was amazing and the bottle of champagne and body oil was a treat to welcome us with. If we could transplant our room home to Las Vegas we would. So comfy and warm. We didn't want to leave. The bathroom was stunning and the spa tub was heaven after days of ziplining and horseback riding. Thank you for the turndown service at night too! We will be back.

My fiancée and I visited here on 20th October 2013. He had booked a nights stay after we had been hiking in the Grand Canyon.
It was a very special evening, as I had just been proposed to a few hours before!

He had sneakily told me that this was my anniversary present (otherwise I would have been suspicious as to why we were staying somewhere so nice after a weeks camping!). He also informed the staff that it was a special day for us.

When we arrived the valet guys were excellent at bringing in our large bags, and the receptionist congratulated us on our anniversary-- to which I blurted out 'actually we just got engaged!'. The lovely lady gave us a room upgrade which was very nice surprise and soon after a bottle of champagne was delivered to our room!

The room was excellent: lovely jacuzzi bath (in which I enjoyed the champagne--perfect), brilliant indoor and amazing outdoor (!) showers, comfortable big bed and lovely balcony looking down to the creek.

We had an amazing dinner too. Excellent wine suggestions from our waiter and yummy food. The lights went out during dinner which the staff dealt with very well. It in fact made it even more romantic dining by the creek by candlelight (and making my ring sparkle!), and the heaters meant that we weren't cold at all.

My fiancée ordered for rose petals to be strewn across the bed (I pity housekeeping because they were everywhere--amazing). This was also given to us as a congratulatory gift, which was another lovely gesture and made our stay perfect.

They have duck feeding (I joked about this as there is duck on the menu) and yoga in the morning; if I hadn't of been enjoying sleeping in the giant bed so much I would have definitely have joined in.

I would have loved to have stayed here for longer, and I want to thank the staff for making the evening so perfect. My partner (Robin) really appreciated the gestures--he wanted me to have a perfect evening, and you helped him make sure that I did.

For a romantic and relaxing get away, with courteous staff, I definitely recommend that you stay here.

Congratulations, sounds like an amazing love story! We're so happy to be included in your special occasion stay! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the room, the tub, the showers and dinner! (Don't worry, the ducks in the creek are our friends...we feed and enjoy them as they entertain us.) We hope to see you again soon for a wedding or anniversary!

This year we decided to get the Vista Cottage #88, it was great. Not as large as the Vista Suite but just perfect. Love the deck facing the red rock and once again the outdoor shower. My only small complaint would be the lack of any fruit or even fruit juice for the "breakfast" in the morning. Cannot say enough about the valets. They are always happy to please, chipper and just make your treatment like royalty. Concierge needs the work. The initial girl we had on check in was fine, but a bit stiff. The second girl was much nicer and willing to answer any questions. The spa was great with Dyana for a Himalayan salt scrub, just wonderful. Can't wait til next year.

Room Tip: Room #88, great views and high enough to see everything.

Our favorite road trip is to Sedona (it has become our little Carmel getaway). We travel to Sedona at least twice a year and always stay at L'Auberge; it is our little piece of heaven when needing a short get-away; Two hours from Phoenix can't be beat, no airport transport, no security checks, just a weekend bag and away we go. The location is perfect, hidden from the touristy hustle and bustle.

This year, we chose to spend New Year's as we were needing peace and serenity. As always, we stayed at a creek side cottage. They are a bit outdated and could probably use a little renovation but it's a lovely space with a great fireplace and what best treat than to light a fire during Fall/Winter and room service! It is our favorite thing about the place. And if you catch a little rain, even better! You can hear the sounds of the rain fall on the creek that runs through the resort and it is just priceless.

We have tried the Spa as well and no complaints; rooms are nicely kept; massage therapists are experienced; I usually get the hot stone massage and I love it.

The restaurant has excellent food and it's very nice if you can get a table outside by the creek. We have tried other restaurants at other big resorts and they just don't compare (as we are learning that big resorts don't really hold up to the pomp and circumstance they profess!)

Can't say enough about this place other than try it for yourself! We are going back in April and I am really looking forward to it!

Room Tip: Recommend creek side cottage.
