A spectacular hotel set on the river in Sedona. Beautiful property with large rooms that include large balconies over looking the Red Rocks and outdoor showers (also indoors!). Restaurant on the river can't be beat - lots of seating areas around fire pits; duck feedings in the morning and great service and food. Really natural - did not feel "elegant" as much as "real" and part of the natural scenery. Best place to stay in Sedona

The service we experienced here was incredible to say the least. Everyone we came in contact with were very helpful and friendly. The phone attendants were professional and very resourceful. Our valet gentlemen, Chase was such a joy to meet and was great with our kids. They looked forward to seeing him every time we headed out of the hotel. If you are looking for a place to retreat, relax and experience superior service. The L'Abuerge de Sedona is your place".

We just spent our 50th anniversary at the magnificent L'Auberge and did I earn points with my wonderful "best friend". As always , I did the planning and research for our summer getaway and choosing the "L" was a stroke of genius on my part... :-)

Thanks Trip Advisor for the help you provide. Selecting a hotel is always a daunting task ... and a shot in the dark... your reviews help us travelers make the right choices and we get the credit for the wonderful places we visit.

First, The room, we chose the Vista Cabin. I'm told they are only 4 years old and they are "state of the arts" in comfort and style. They are built into the side of a small mountain so the "vista" is above the trees and buildings and offer a spectacular panoramic view of the Sedona Red Rocks. There is a large, well appointed main room, including a fireplace, flat screen and refrig/coffee area.

The bath is always most important and these do not disappoint. Double lavs, whirlpool tub and, yup, an outdoor shower.

Third, and final, creekside dining... a very romantic and beautiful setting and food "to die for". The 4 course French influenced dinner was wonderful! We also had breakfast there and it was also terrific!

Three words... attention to detail... L'Auberge management has assembled and trained a terrific group of people who anticipant and fulfill your every desire.

Thanks L'Auberge and trip advisor.

Room Tip: Use Trip Advisor reviews. Better the Frommers and Fodors.

Got married here in the middle of August 2013. From start to finish, the resort was extremely professional...so helpful that it didn't seem like I was planning a wedding! They made it that easy!

What drew us to having our wedding here is the property. The property is moderately sized and gorgeous! It's so nice and easy to take a stroll along Oak Creek on either side of the property--and they even allow you to swim in the creek as well! Most of the rooms are standalone cabins (they do have some normal hotel-like rooms in the Lodge) so you never have to worry about hearing your neighbors in the next room. The property is also situated at one end of the main shopping street in Uptown Sedona, but they also have a shuttle that you can take if you'd like to go a bit farther.

Another bonus is how pet friendly this resort is! My (now) husband and I like to travel with our two furry pals and I love how they allow pets everywhere on the property (except for the restaurant and spa--understandable) and they even provide food/water bowls and a baggie full of toys and treats!

Overall, this is a great place to stay (if you can afford it!) :)

Room Tip: I've always stayed in a Creekside Cottage because they are pet friendly and close enough to the...

Spectacular scenery all around, this really is a great location in it's own right as well as a perfect spot to stay if visiting the Grand Canyon. Stayed in a vista suite which was very pleasant, located up the hill from the creek back towards the town and facing the spectacular red rocks. Very nice room, if I have one criticism it's that the layout isn't perfect for 4 staying in the room; our teenagers sleeping in the lounge area had to go via our bedroom to get to the bathroom. Service staff were very efficient in making sure all beds made up and put away in the lounge area during our stay. Lovely outdoor shower area.

Restaurant is excellent, we had 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts there. Tables laid out by the creek create a very nice atmosphere, we enjoyed some delicious food and wine. Be prepared for some insect wildlife at night when sitting outside, although I must add we didn't get bitten.

Concierge very helpful, special shout out to Graham who gave us some great advice for our day trip to the canyon, recommending a drive in from the east via the crater and Indian Ruins, and then perfect spots at the South Rim as then sun went down. He also organised our Pink Jeep tour which again is highly recommended and a great way to see some of the wonderful scenery in the Sedona area.

There's so much to see and do in the area that unfortunately we didn't get a chance to visit the spa, and we never did manage to get up in time for morning yoga as the beds are way too comfortable. Hope to visit again in the not too distant future, we all have great memories of our time in this beautiful place.

Room Tip: Stayed in Vista Suite, teenage children slept on rollaway/sofa bed in lounge area. Although fine fo...

Thank you for taking the time to write this review, we appreciate your comments. We do hope you plan to return and spend some time relaxing in the spa. When you do, please ask about our 2 bedroom cottages...we only have 2 on property and they fill up quickly. But that would give your children their own room and bathroom with a common area in the middle of the 2 rooms. Thank you again!

We pulled into the hotel at 1:00am and were greeted by a very friendly person that was expecting our arrival. They carried our bags to the room and would not accept a tip since it is a non tipping resort. We had a standalone cottage that was fantastic. A large bathroom with an outstanding outdoor shower. A comfortable bed, a nice sitting area and a deck with a couple of chairs. The room was very clean, comfortable and charming. The room has a small empty refrigerator, which we used to keep cold water.

In the morning they have a yoga class for free, which was very enjoyable and they have freshly made scones and coffee in the lobby each morning. We also used the spa facilities which were clean and top notch although a bit high on the price.

One day we had lunch at the restaurant by the river and another day we had dinner. It is delightful to dine by the river and watch the ducks playing around. The food was top notch and freshly prepared. The service was very good.

The next time I would definitely book one of the rooms along the water front as our room was facing the next cabin.

This hotel makes you feel like you are out in the middle of no where, however a very short walk up some stairs and you are on a strip that has all kinds of restaurants and shops. It has a fantastic location.

We very much enjoyed our three nights at L'Auberge and we will definitely return in the future.

Thank you to all of the staff for making our stay very relaxing and pleasant.

Room Tip: If money is not an issue, I would suggest spending the extra money to stay in a room facing the rive...

My husband and I recently spent 3 nights in one of the Creekside Cabins. The room, the property and all of its activities, and the fabulous restaurant along with the friendly and helpful staff made our stay just fabulous. They also offered a shuttle to a couple of close trailheads for hiking and for shopping at Tlaquepaque and other areas within a couple of miles.
Wonderful trip!
