Fabulous, fabulous hotel. We had the Vista Suite (#91) with a private deck looking right at the Red Rock. Fantastic views, fantastic staff and I highly recommend the Himalayan Salt Scrub with Tanya. So great that I destressed from the worry about making it back East due to the storm. Can't say enough about this place, just awesone.

Room Tip: In the reviews I have read some people prefer the soothing sounds of the stream by the Cottages. Th...

This property is so serene and scenic. Its location right on Oak Creek and just below the village is perfect. Staff was sincerely friendly, especially the valet guys who happily take you to your room in a golf cart or to the village in an SUV (no tips accepted). We stayed in a view suite but will try one of the cabins by the creek next time. The furnishings are modern, hardwood floors, large enough bedroom and living room. Our suite had a large, uncovered veranda that was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. There is also a staircase that leads up from the property directly into the village (it leads to the Orchard Country Inn, right behind Taos Cantina, and an easy walk to several restaurants and shops). Although the guests were mostly older couples, our two young children enjoyed the property immensely, especially the morning duck feeding, the scones and hot chocolate placed in the lobby each morning, eating creekside from where they could continue to watch the ducks, and the pool. There are no movies on demand on the television and no desk in the suite but we understood that to be part of the appeal of getting away from it all.
Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were delicious but served in a very leisurely (read: long wait) manner -- great to enjoy the ambience but not so great with hungry kids. The cabins are not connected and quite private which was also great with kids who make noise. The suite had an outdoor shower that was wonderful during the sunny October weather.
A few critiques: the king-size bed was quite soft, and both my husband and I experienced back discomfort. Also, the fitness center was too basic - 3 treadmills, one elliptical, free weights, bosus, and mats.

Room Tip: If choosing a view suite and planning to walk the property (as opposed to always having a golf cart...

We stayed 3 nights at the lodge and it couldn't have been nicer. The staff, especially the valet guys, were so accommodating. They would drive us to a nearby restaurant and pick us up when we called, so no worries having a few glasses of wine. They cannot accept tips -- you pay a service fee nightly--so no need to worry about having the right amount of cash. Tips only accepted on food/bar service. The fitness center was fine, another treadmill would be nice. The pool could be heated just a touch more, especially as it gets cooler now. All the grounds are very well maintained, pretty & clean. Be sure to take the Pink Jeep, Broken Arrow, tour. Very fun & informative. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: When staying at the lodge, I would ask for an upstairs room, as we did hear the people above us, but...

We stayed for 2 nights, had fantastic service from when we drove up to she we left. The food & service at the restaurant along Oak Creek was fantastic. The couple's massage at the spa was great.
The fitness center was rather meager.
Overall, could not have asked for a better stay. Loved it.

We stayed at this fantastic hotel for the second time this year. The property, staff and service was as fantastic as the first time. It is pricey, but worth every penny when celebrating a special event. The location is beautiful and the accomodations are quite special.

Room Tip: The cottages near the spa and creek are nearer to the restaurant.

Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon area is a must to all road travellers in Arizona. Turn off I.17. L'Auberge is without doubt a romantic and lovely place to stay. I have stayed here three time over the last !5yrs and it always is a happy and fun environment. The Restaurant is superb and ideal for a quiet romantic dinner.
Sedona, although very busy compared with 20yrs ago still has a unique quirky atmosphere.
L'Auberge is expensive, but in my opinion well worth it!!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a Cabin, by the river.

We stayed for 3 days at the Lodge, the room with a balcony was on the second floor as we requested (no elevator). The place is wounderful! They have free coffee/tea with scones in the morning , they have different activities (lectures,Stargazing, yoga). Free use of computers in the business Center.Service is outstanding (everybody:vallet guys, front desk/concierge, housekeeping, reservation etc., etc.). Location is excellent; creek with trees around;walking distance (uphill) to Uptown with trolley bus stop, souvenir shops, Starbucks . Restaurant:food is amazing-breakfast, lunch, dinner (note: dinner 3 or 4 course).Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Our room was on the second floor, facing trees.
