“First time to Sedona”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

We spent six nights in the Santa Fe room at Boots and Saddles Bed and Breakfast. I must say this was the most enjoyable stay I think we have ever had anywhere. We almost always stay at a Bed and Breakfast just because they seem to be a little quitter than Hotels or Motels. I must say that Candice and Sam and Irith were so enjoyable to be around and had so much information about Sedona and the surrounding area. The breakfast was great, I enjoyed every meal, they put such heart and soul in everything they do. This was the best stay ever and We will return.

We spent 4 nights in the Sacred Feather room and loved it! The first morning we watched a coyote stalk a flock of quail right below our outdoor terrace (the hunt was unsuccessful). The B&B is set in West Sedona, surrounded by some of the most fantastic scenery with hiking opportunities galore! Sam and Irith provided recommendations for wonderful places to have dinner each evening, and they called to make reservations for their guests. At night after hiking all day we soaked in our private outdoor hot tub and watched shooting starts streak across the Arizona sky. We were sad to leave the new friends we made, but we'll come back!

Our stay at the Boots and Saddle Bed and Breakfast is the best stay we have had at any B&B or any other place for that matter. The atmosphere is so relaxing, our room was so romantic and made us feel at home in luxury. Sam is the most enjoyable host, our morning breakfasts were delicious and so much fun. Sam always had a great story to entertain us. with. We will with out doubt be back to Sedona as well as to Boots and Saddle.

the owners, Irith and Sam, were lovely and very helpful. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We stayed in Sacred Feather which is an upstairs room. The view from the balcony towards the red rocks, is unforturnately obstructed by a large home uphill. Additionally, the shower has a very large window which affords little priviacy from that homes front door or its many balconies. The parking lot needs a motion detector light for night time arrivals. Breakfast was amazingly delicious and plentiful. Clearly, the owners know restaurants and you should tap into their recommendations....except the Heartline Cafe which was one of the worst restaurants any of us ever endured. We let them know how bad that recommendation was! We also let them know they should recommend Dan's Bistro (see my review) they highly recommended Dalh and DiLuca which was good. Euro Deli was recommended for sandwiches (A++) for our trip up to the Grand Canyons. Sam recommended a great route with attractions on the way up, which we followed with his laminated card (very helpful) We were suprised to find our door ajar one morning after returning from breakfast and after our room was cleaned...fortunately, nothing was missing.

My partner and I enjoyed an incredible stay at this lovely B&B. We thought we were visiting someone from our own family. The service was attentive and personal. The accomodations were charming and clean. The king size bed and high quality sheets were soooo comfortable!! The decor was warm, well thought-out and lovely, and let's not forget the food!! Sam is an all-star "chef-de-cuisine" - outstanding brioche, quiches, healthy fruit salads, even down to the lemonade and gluten free cookies and healthy nuts that were left as snacks. We had to leave very early in the a.m. to catch our flight and Sam still packed us a goody bag for breakfast with yogurt, juices, granola bars, fruit....So thoughtful. We will definitely be returning there on our next trip to Sedona. We highly recommend this place.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Ghost Rider room and just loved it. Modern, charming, good ventilation, clean, com...

I wanted a last minute getaway just by myself and happened upon Boots and Saddles online. The Gods were certainly with me on this one. This place was amazing. Quiet, comfortable and appealing, everything was well thought out down to the perfection of the bedding. I stayed in the Santa Fe room and loved it. Breakfast was fabulously presented and excellent and I'm a picky eater. Candace was friendly, helpful and I felt right at home and welcome. Unfortunately I did not get to meet Sam or Irith, but I did speak with them on the phone and they were both extremely friendly and gracious.
You won't go wrong with this one; I cannot wait to go again.
Thank-you for making my getaway wonderful.

I highly recommend Boots and Saddles. My wife and I recently stayed there on our visit to Sedona. We were in town for a short five day vacation and the crew at Boots and Saddles helped us get the most out of our vacation. They give you an excellent overview of Sedona as well as a guide to the Grand Canyon if you'd like to travel there. They told us which shops to visit, which to avoid, where to eat, and where the best hikes were. The breakfast is outstanding and there are delicious snacks in the afternoon. The rooms are excellent with a very large shower, robes, comfortable bed, and ours (along with most) included a hot tub. Would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Sedona.
