This is a wonderful hike. Fairly flat, not too challenging. Peaceful, quiet, beautiful scenery. Several shallow stream crossings make this hike extra fun.

We did this hike in late May, in the afternoon, after hiking Devil's Bridge in the morning. Both hikes were beautiful in their own ways and it was great to experience the contrast. The tree shaded paths and crossing the creek were wonderful experiences in the heat of the afternoon. We even stopped to take our boots off and relax with our feet in the cool water. It sickened us to hear of the fire two days later.

We have hiked this outstanding trail several times. Our favorite part is hiking near and over Oak Creek. Another great part about this hike is all the shade trees. This is not a difficult trail to hike but the ground is uneven and you need to watch for roots and rocks; one of the things we like about it.

My family enjoyed this hike on a beautiful morning. This hike was much different than the others we had done as it was lush green forest with 13 streams to cross! (Not sure what is left after the fire unfortunately) most of the walk was shaded by the trees and it was an easy hike where we saw people of all ages from little kids to seniors. I would recommend getting there early as this is definitely a touristy trail unlike some of the others.

This trail is great for everyone. Took the kids and grandparents. Not too hard, great variety of things to see.....remnants of old structures, the river, and natural beauty all around you. Kids loved, loved, loved this day of exploration and adventure.
