West Fork trails is definitely one of the more popular trails in the Oak Creek Canyon, but I can see why. Easy hike with lots of creek crossings, great views from the bottom of the canyon, nice shallow pools to wade in to cool off, interesting rock formations. We saw lots of families, couples, visitors of all ages. The further we went, the less crowded it got.

A fabulous hike with lots and lots of photo opportunities, especially at the many creek crossings where you can capture beautiful reflections in the still water

We started a bit late in the day, but we got pretty far and plan on going back, probably in the fall to continue our trek! Loved the ruins, river crossings and the solitude. The views of the canyon walls above us were stunning. Reminded us a lot of hiking through the Jemez Mountains of NM.

This is an easy hike into one of the most beautiful area's I have ever seen. There is a shallow creek you have to cross over several times to follow the trail via walking on a rock trail or over logs...great fun! It becomes a game to see who can cross without getting thier shoes a bit wet. You have to pay a $9.00 parking fee..but well worth it! Great way to spend time for all ages.

Have hiked the West Fork of Oak Creek several times. This time it was in Feb. Huge icicles hanging from the canyon walls. Some snow and amazingly, the kitty willows (Trip Advisor doesn't like the word that starts with "P" and goes with "willows") were beginning to emerge. Got some great images.
