We were only in Sedona for a short time and our concierge suggested Red Rock State Park. We wanted to make sure we went to all the parks that were offering a Junior Ranger Program for our 6 year old. This park was one of them. We got to the gate and were unaware you had to pay to enter, but it was only $10. That was worth our money. We got there around 9:50 and they were offering a free guided hike so we decided to join the group. Scott was our guide and he was so informative and the hike was easy enough for my 6 year old. The hike was pretty long, about 2 hours and he took us to a great view. Scott even offered to take photos of everyone once we got to a great view. After that we went back to the visitors center and my son did a packet and was sworn in as a Junior Ranger. Really cute and exciting for him. They gave him a "badge" (a pin) and a poster of all the State Parks so that he can try and get a badge from each one. Everyone there was really friendly and the park was beautiful!
