My wife and I spent almost the entire week hiking various areas and this is, by far, the best hike we did. It is not too challenging but not a total cakewalk and the view is nothing short of spectacular. This is the one thing you HAVE TO DO in Sedona.

Yes, its a long hike especially on a hot day in summer. Start early in the AM and as noted elsewhere, take plenty of water and wear comfortable walking shoes. The view is worth it.

The 3.6 mile "easy" hike was not easy at all. Give yourself a few hours and definitely do not go without an ample amount of water. A 16 oz. bottle of water is not going to cut it. The last 0.7 miles of the hike is no joke...a lot of uphill climbing and steep rock "stairs". The view is absolutely amazing so make sure to take time and enjoy it.

Worth the hike! The last part of the trail was a bit challenging, had to do some rock climbing to get to the bridge. Definitely worth it! Excellent views, great pictures. Recommend taking the Chuckwagon Trail back, more of a scenic route.
