Nice hike, not exactly what we expected at first as you hike down an ATV trail for almost 2 miles before hitting the trail head. Steap hike up to the bridge and if you're afraid of heights it is a gut check.

We hiked mid morning on a hot day in Sedona (97 degrees). We parked at Mescal trail head and went opposite direction. Little less than 4 miles in and out, about 3 hours at moderate pace and spent time for photo's at the bridge. We went on a Tuesday so not busy at all. First mile and a half is flat, easy trail. You can drive this, however recommended 4 wheel drive, we did not attempt even in our rental car). Last mile is more uphill, still wide, easy to walk trail. Last quarter mile is a little steeper, mostly rock steps. Great view from the top, and excellent photo op. Trail is well marked and easy to follow.

this is a very popular trail. it is situated in a stunning area of Sedona. not a long trail but a little tricky at the end. meaning you will have do climbing at the end to see the views and the bridge but WOW is it worth the effort.

Beautiful hike. A combination of so many views, up close sandstone walls, desert hike, canyon overlook (eye level with a helicopter!) and of course a very scary bridge. It takes some nerve to go out on the bridge. Some rock climbing required.

We walked the full 3.5 mile route taking the Chuck Wagon trail to Devils Rock and on to the Devils Bridge, we came back the easy way on the 'road', the round trip was approximately 6 miles in total but would be more if you dont use the 'road'.

The hike to the Devils Bridge trail head is fairly easy and a lot of it is through forest, but make sure you take enough water you need to keep hydrated.

The pay off at the end of the walk is simply stunning you can view the bridge from below or you can walk across it (if unlike me you don't suffer from vertigo) either way there are spectacular views and photo opportunities to be had.

I should say at this point that the final parts of the 0.7 mile approach to the bridge may be challenging to some as it involves some steep steps, but if you want to appreciate the power and beauty of nature it's worth persevering with as the views and the bridge itself are mind blowing!
