If you like vastly varied landscapes, this drive will suit you. From the plains near Flagstaff to the eye-popping canyons near Sedona, you drop about 3000 feet over 10 miles.

Oak Creek Canyon offers outstanding scenic opportunities. Towering spires, breathtaking sheer drops, a beautiful babbling rocking creek at the bottom. Not to be missed.

We had read a great deal about Oak Creek Canyon before visiting Sedona. I will say that much like the Taj Majal, it DOES live up to its billing. Very beautiful indeed. If you get to Sedona, don't miss Oak Creek Canyon.

Oak Creek Canyon is one way to get to Sedona from Flagstaff, on a winding but excellent road with a number of great vistas. It may not be the fastest route for sure, but the landscape is well worth it!

This is a must see. Crossing the wooden bridge you enter a magical canyon. A soft sandy path meanders through mystical wonders of sounds and sights. Take a walking stick so you can easily balance on the rocks at each creek crossing.
