We ate dinner at Maria's in mid August 2008. The food was good and very (temperature) hot, which we liked. The selection seemed good. When we done, I handed the waiter cash and a discount coupon from our hotel. It seemed to take him a long time to come back with our change and I presumed he was just hoping we would leave, leaving him a very big tip. As it turned out, he came back and gave us our change, but shorted us about $3 in change. I questioned him, and he said he just didn't have enough change available. Of course that shortage came out of the tip, but why didn't he just ask for a credit card rather than attempting to short us and hope we didn't notice?
