I only had the bread, spagetti, and meatballs. It was all just average. Nothing special but still very good. The spagetti was just normal spagetti with a good marinara sauce. The meatball was not bad, it definitly had some flavor but it was not the best I have ever had. Decent atmospher. All in all it was a good place to go for inexpensive Italian food.

We have eaten dinner here many times and always enjoy both the food and the atmosphere. It is a family run neighborhood restaurant and after one or two visits Najia, the hostess and co-owner, will invariably remember you. The food is home-made and always outstanding - some of our favorites are the arugula salad, sole, penne a la vodka, and spaghetti. The wine list is excellent and offers selections that are generally not available in retail stores. The service is prompt and friendly but never intrusive. The ambience is lively enough to feel Latin but quiet enough for easy conversation. We love it here.

My wife and I have eaten here a half dozen times, usually for lunch where we wind up spending about $25. Dinner is about $60+ for two with a glass of wine. The food is outstanding, however. From inventive sandwiches at lunch to a variety of pasta dishes and excellent veal, we have never been disappointed in the slightest. Service is near perfect with the family on hand to insure friendly attention.

For beginners, this is an somewhat expensive venue for a neighborhood restaurant. $8 to $12 a glass for so-so Italian wines is an example. Starters and entrees are pricey with the latter offered without soup or salad.

The starter was excellently prepared sauted calamari in a very flavorful sauce. The dover sole was also great but why was it served with bland white rice and a few beans? However, the cannelloni was perfect, a perfect failure. It lacked any taste of spinach, cheese or spice, leaving only the sensation of tasteless, dry ground meat. My mistake was in not sending it back after the first bite..

Servive was friendly but slow, particularly since the restaurant was not overly crowded. We passed on coffee and dessert. What started out as a promising evening ended up as a disappointment.
