Description: Dining under the shady trees on Olive and Ivy's massive patio feels more like Southern France than southern Scottsdale. If you are looking for pomp and circumstance of quiet elegance, try the signature private-dining venue, the Stamp Room. If it's night-life, we have you covered twice with the outdoor lounge and bar. You'll enter your own little Mediterranean world the first moment you set foot in Olive & Ivy.

“Uneven results from the menu”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2014

Attractive space to dine either inside or out. Very good and attentive service. Some items looked good on paper but when executed did disappoint. The bacon wrapped dates flopped as the strong flavor of the date was not counterbalanced by the bacon ---- they could be improved with some cheese to offset the chewiness of the date, perhaps some gorgonzola? The gyro was made with pre made lamb patties (sort of like a fast food hamburger patty) and was not thins shaved pieces of lamb. The flavor of the lamb was full but the texture and shape of patty detracted from any positive feelings about this main course. I wish the waiter had explained this before I ordered it. Others at our table loved their stuffing filled pasta dish and the ahi salad looked awesome. I might go back but you have to have a discerning eye to know which menu item will successfully translate from the written page to the plate.

“Appys all the way”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2014

Great location along the canal with warmth from the heaters. I absolutely would rather sit outside in this spot. It was January and we felt toasty.
The waitress was so friendly and helpful. Her recommendation for appys were stellar.
The bacon wrapped dates were the highlight, just as she said they would be.
We did have a great mediterranean flatbread. The free started of bread with house made pesto was a favourite and something we would definitely have paid for.
We might go again tonight!! :)
The sangria was ok, not stellar.

“Delightful Find”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2014

It was Monday night and we thought we'd have our pick of tables at the restaurant. From the street (near Nordstroms) it looks quiet and serene. We were surprised to find, upon entering, that the colorfully decorated place was packed and the wait was 25 minutes!
We settled for an outdoor table which was available in 5 minutes.
Big trees in the patio were wrapped in white lights and the effect was magical.
Our food was very good and I recommend the scallops, the bacon-wrapped dates, and the fried calamari appetizer. It appears that the place greatly appeals to the locals and with good reason.

“Lots of atmosphere in a beautiful setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2014

There is not much that has not already been said about this restaurant. Lots of ambiance. Wonderful outside dining if the weather is suitable. Definitely a place where the beautiful people, although the staff will never make you feel out of place. Food is yummy
Only downside is the noise. It is definitely noisy inside when the place is hopping. It is a much better experience when you go at off peak hours
