Description: Dining under the shady trees on Olive and Ivy's massive patio feels more like Southern France than southern Scottsdale. If you are looking for pomp and circumstance of quiet elegance, try the signature private-dining venue, the Stamp Room. If it's night-life, we have you covered twice with the outdoor lounge and bar. You'll enter your own little Mediterranean world the first moment you set foot in Olive & Ivy.

“Food snob”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

I hate to admit ...I am a food snob. As a retired caterer. I am disappointed in the food I get in .
restaurants on a regular basis. HOWEVER.... I Have found a restauraunt that Never disappoints. It is Olive and Ivy in Scotsdale. It has GREAT food. YOU must try the sweet potato Canneloni. IT is probably the best dish I have ever eaten. It is served with smoky roasted mushrooms ,sauted spinach & toasted almonds in a delectable buttery sauce. My husband doesn't really like sweet potatoes... But he loves this savory dish. The service at Olive & Ivy is superb... You can sit outside by the river or inside. It is also a nice stop for a drink and appetizer at there outdoor bar. ( The bacon wrapped dates are very good. )
Please try it when you are in Scotsdale . You won't be sorry.....

“Great location, service, food and coffee!!”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

Located on the 'river', near Scottsdale Fashion SC, Olive & Ivy combines a retro look with comfort of old, nostalgic Arizona dinning. One can seat themselves inside the restaurant in booth, tables or at the bar; and for the more adventurous diners - outside seating is available as well.
Our table was located near the main dining room, thus enjoying both the outdoor views, as well as the warmth and comfort of the restaurant.
Our waitress - Sonja, was very helpful without being overbearing.
Both the coffee and cappuccinos were strong and tasty. We sampled the dates~wrapped in bacon appetizers and found them very well prepared and deliciously tasting. Equally so was the after-coffee desserts.
Definitely a 'keeper'

“Reservation Error Handled Smoothly & Graciously”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

We thought we booked for Sunday eve but it was Monday....our mistake. However the staff accommodated us graciously and found us a nice table despite the fact that the restaurant was very busy.

The wait staff was almost overly solicitous emphatically announcing that our dinner choices were "EXCELLENT". Our appetizer and meal were promptly delivered but not in a hurried manner.

The food was excellent, portions were ample, and the plates attractively presented.

The waiter was very amenable to our request to share an appetizer and salad. In fact, they delivered the salad (which was huge) split in two bowls.

The cost was what you would expect at a higher-end restaurant.

Olive and Ivy is well worth a visit.

“What I expected from Scottsdale”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

The atmosphere at Olive and Ivy was great. Big fire pits to gather around while you await your table. Prompt and courteous wait staff. Food that surprisingly comforting. I had the natural chicken and it was paired with mashed potatoes and a sauce that I would love get my hands on. And the beet salad...... well let's just say "word" and end there.
