This is my first visit to this hotel in Scottsdale. I had envisioned a much different hotel, in my mind, for some reason (maybe based on the hotel stock photos)?
In my opinion, the hotel and the rooms are in need of a refresh. The furniture is quite old, the wallpaper is peeling from the walls in my room, and the room wasn't the most cleanly (dust on walls, splashes of "stuff" on the ceiling, some mold in shower, etc.).I really wanted to move rooms, but because I am attending a conference, I'm not in my room that often (and truly didn't want the hassle).
Lastly, I am a Marriot Platinum member so I assumed I would have bottled water in my room. I called to the front desk to inquire, and the gentlemen basically said "no, we don't provide water, you have to ask for it, and it's down here at the front desk if you'd like some). I was a bit disappointed that he didn't offer to send any up, or even acknowledge my concern (except to offer that there is a $5 bottle of water in my room, if I wanted it). Was truly disappointed in that level of customer service.
Not sure that I would stay at this hotel again....perhaps after they undergone a few renovations of the rooms.More
