“Very Nice Experience”
Reviewed October 6, 2011

I stayed here for 4 nights for a conference in North Scottsdale. The main conference hotel was booked so I had to choose an "over flow" hotel. Based on previous Tripadvisor recommendations I picked Scottsdale Marriott and was not disappointed. The hotel and the room was nice and clean. I had a room in the west wing overlooking the golf course. Beautiful and quiet. The staff (especially Linette) were all very nice and friendly. The food at the restaurant was good but not exceptional as previously mentioned in other reviews. There is a small airport located near the hotel and although it was very quiet on Saturday and Sunday, there were several small private jets taking off and landing early Monday and Tuesday mornings. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation!

This property is textbook Marriott, a very nicely decorated room that's extremely clean. The whole place is well maintained and operated. The room AC is strong and quiet. I've stayed here 4 or 5 times and wouldn't go anywhere else in the PHX area. Nice pool area, beautiful views from the balcony, quiet rooms. Excellent breakfast buffet with omlette maker. Price is usually competitive as well. 2 mins to PGA golf, 5 to shopping areas 25 to downtown and the airport. One of my favorite Marriott properties in the US. Comfortable and relaxing.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony, not all room have one

We have lived near this hotel for 8 yrs, but we had never been guest.s. Our home air conditioner unit was not working and repairs expected to be delayed for 3-4 days...this may not be a problem for some, but the heat can be oppressive in AZ ! ! ...we contacted this hotel & so pleased with the hotel & services. Was so nice to have a great place to stay near our home. Internet was extra charge but the summer rate quite good so no complaints. Good food & great service & VERY CLEAN !
Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Very accommodating.

We were flying space available and got stuck in Phoenix, so we decided to make the best of it and spend the weekend in Scottsdale. Selected this property due to the good reviews and decent rate. Very quiet and not very busy over this weekend.

Very friendly staff. A couple glitches at check-in (the usual computer issues). Clean comfortable room. Excellent bed once again. Good service. Very nice pool. I didn't bring my clubs, but the adjacent golf course looked enticing. It wasn't difficult getting around to the places we needed to go, so having a car is a distinct advantage. Only disappointment was that there was a very large valet charge, which wasn't even necessary. Be aware of any extra charges here.

I'm not sure what they are like during their busy season, but for our quick summer weekend, this was a very enjoyable visit.

Clean and comfortable! Stayed for only a couple nights during our 2 week stay in Phoenix and we really loved it here. The layout of the rooms is great, very open. We had a balcony facing the mountains so that was breathtaking.

The pool is a good size and must have a cooling system because it is slightly cooler than
any other pool I've been in here in Phoenix. Very refreshing after a long, hot day!

The beds are on the small side though. Very comfortable but just a bit small.

Staff and everything else was great.

Room Tip: Ask for third floor if you want a balcony
