We have decided to call this room our Time Share in Scottsdale. It has a great view, but is not as shaded from sun and is too hot in the afternoon to be out there. The beds are fantastic and service is very good except housekeeping sometimes fails to replenish coffee / tea supplies. I loved the food in the small cafe--the grilled cheese sandwich and the portabella sandwich are excellent and so much less than the restaurants on property. We ate breakfast on property and it was $50! After that we went to The Breakfast Club (not far) for half the price and just as good food. Pool is huge and nice. Patio off main lobby at night is wonderful.

This was my second stay at the Phoenician and I have to say I love this resort. Spacious rooms, great service... but truly spectacular golf, spa, and pool area. We played 18 of the 27 holes - a really fun, challenging resort course with fantastic scenery and views. The pool and views were very nice and even had time to get a massage. The staff was very competent and food was great. Can't wait to come back!

My husband and I stayed at the Phoenician last week as part of a large business group. When we arrived we were quickly checked in by a friendly staff and given directions to our beautiful room on the fourth floor overlooking the pools. In the hall way we were warmly welcomed and shown to our room by the general manager. Our room faced the pools and and and we could also see mountains is the distance as well. The grounds were impeccable, the staff attentive and went over and above to serve us at all times. The first night we arrived, we had a private dinner at the Jokake Inn right on the premises. The quality of the food was excellent and the beauty that surrounded us was breathtaking. The chefs preparing the meal and servers were all very friendly and provided us with wonderful service at this outside dinner. The service provided at the concierge desk was outstanding throughout our stay as well. In fact any staff member met during our stay provided some of the best service we have ever received! I could right more, but I definitely give the Phoenician five stars and will surely visit again soon!

Big room, very well appointed, quiet and overlooking the pool. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Great pools and we had a fabulous meal in J&G steakhouse, Whilst we didn't use any sport facility they all looked fabulous. If we visit Scottsdale again The Phoenician will definitely be our first choice place to stay.
We were staying over Labor Day weekend and the hotel planned many extra entertainment events, we really enjoyed the bird display. We also endeavoured to climb Camelback Mountain behind the resort, but stopped 2/3 way up as we ran short of water - it is worth the climb but needs to be taken seriously and start early. If like us you don't make it all the way enjoy the hummings birds.
Fashion mall is 2 miles but if like us you have no car you can catch the number 50 bus from the bottom of the drive, which was $2 compared with $15 car from hotel. We also walked one way.

Room Tip: pool facing room was sunny.

I stayed for 3 nights at a 1BR Casita. The room was well appointed and gently worn. Reminds me a bit of St Regis in Houston. What struck me was the perfunctory service. Of course, I am likely to be prejudiced and spoiled by the Asian service standard as I mostly travel there. But I kind of stared at the face of the breakfast waiter while he recites the very polite words explaining the offerings without meeting my eyes nor with a hint of smile to his face.
