Have stayed at the Fairmont Scottsdale a number of times, always for the Phoenix Open. It is a wonderful weekend and cannot recommend it enough, even for those who are not avid golf fans. The hotel is on the golf course and you can access the event directly from the hotel. The atmosphere at the hotel is really fun at this time. The superbowl is always on the Sunday of the Phoenix Open and the hotel bar is the perfect outdoor location for the big game.

I stay in the Casita's this time, remembering them from 6-7 years ago as excellent. Now the rooms could be updated, but remain very nice and comfortable. The wifi in the rooms is of a very good quality.

I used the gym and the spa. I particularly like the roof top pool in the spa, very relaxing.

Food is very good throughout and staff extremely friendly and helpful.

There are lots of company conventions at the hotel, which can give it a "business" atmosphere and I am not sure if it would be perfect for kids, however the family would love the outdoor pools.

I will certainly be back!!

The Hotel in itself is nice. The Casita were fairly far from the hotel, but quiet. We enjoyed our stay and will return. We have stayed hear many times. The restaurants are very good and the concierge is world class (go Eddie). One BIG caution is the very slippery floors in the restrooms. While not a thin person, I am fairly athletic and slipped and fall on dry floors. This was not an issue of housekeeping, just the title is shiny and slick. My injuries were minor with a wrist injury and unreported. I am not the lawsuit type of person and only want to warn our older generation to be careful.

Room Tip: Quiet Rooms are in the Casitas. But expect a walk.

Stayed here for 3 days for a work meeting. It is an expansive resort with beautiful grounds. Customer service was excellent, as you would expect from a resort of this caliber. I stayed in the C- wing, adjacent to the pool. Temperatures were in the mid-70's so the pool was not very active. My room was good sized, two double beds. The furniture and carpet was a little worn and dated, but well maintained. Bathroom was large and had all the right amenities. Wireless internet was a bit expensive at $14 per day. Also, bottled water in the room was $4. So, they do gouge you a bit on the extras. There is a nice patio bar with heaters to keep you warm during the cool desert nights. Our food for the meeting was all buffet style. I thought the selection and the quality was very good.
This was a work meeting and my company picked up the tab. Last year, I stayed at the Double Tree in Scottsdale. If I were spending my own money, I would probably choose the Double Tree ... not as nice as the Fairmont, but half the price. If money is no object, go with the Fairmont.

We went during the summer so it was hot, but we had a great time in a suite that was close to a semi-private pool. The cushions on the loungers were 6 inches thick, pure decadence and some of the umbrellas had fans inside! The service was top notch, all the staff were friendly and always willing to help, restaurants were great and a 5 minute drive takes you to groceries and wine, what more could one ask for?! Highly recommended, we are looking to visit again in 2014 !

I don't even know where to begin!! The Havasupai Falls Rejuvenation at Well & Being... the absolute best ever! The staff is great at the entire resort. La Hacienda... to die for!! The rooms are fun and modern with great views of the TPC Scottsdale. Great value for a 5 diamond resort.

I always look forward to every time I get to stay here. Definitely the best resort in the valley.

Just returned from a weekend at the Fairmont in Scottsdale. The room and grounds are lovely. We spent most of Saturday having treatments at the spa. It was wonderful and one of the best spa experiences we have had. I recommend dining at La Hacienda--it was great.
