Loved this place for a little quiet time. The room was just ok, dated and in need of renovation!
The staff at this hotel makes up for the dated room! Great front desk staff, extremely accommodating and pleasant! Restaurants were fantastic in every way. Breakfast buffet was excellent, as was the order off the menu meal and service was exceptional!!! Steak house was outstanding the first night, but service the second was not great. Peter was a little distracted by another party and appeared to forget we were there! Starbucks on site, very friendly and efficient. The valet staff could use a little attention, inattentive and a bit lazy it seemed. Overall the stay was excellent and will be our go to resort when in Scottsdale!

This RCI "Extra" vacation was GREAT for 3 of us on an annual get-together, we each had our own bedroom, a great living area for watching DVD's on the flat panel TV, and the huge dining room table was well lit - perfect for games.

The downstairs bedroom had a small full bathroom to use, upstairs bedrooms shared a nice size "jack and jill" style bathroom with 2 sinks, separate tub/shower area and separate commode. A little plus that no one really made use of, the downstairs bedroom had a tiny LCD tv and the master upstairs a big tube TV.

A nice surprise - furniture, carpets, everything but the kitchen appliances looked practically new! Beds and bedding very comfortable. The decor fit the style of the units. This time of year (mid-October) we opened up all the windows after sunset for perfect temperature inside without the AC on. We had the ceiling fan in the living room, dining room and upstairs stair well on all the time. At night had to close the twin bedroom window due to being a light sleeper, but a huge stand up fan found in the downstairs coat closet provided air circulation.

The poolside bar service made this a real "resort" experience with reasonable prices for fun cocktails like mango colada and appetizers and food. Happy Hour specials 3 - 6.

The only negative about the week - the pool was closed for maintenance while they replaced the railings the last 2 days of our stay. On these days we visited the Phoenix Art Museum (free after 3 on Wednesday) and the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (free after noon on Thursday).

The resort location can't be beat, downtown Scottsdale is close and has lots of great restaurants with Happy Hour prices for small plates or sushi to make an inexpensive meal, check out RA and Stingray Sushi.

We all enjoyed the condo and had a great time in the pool area at the resort - wouldn't hesitate to come back with the ladies again!

Room Tip: 3 bedroom unit C19 was a good location, Invergordon is the street across from the unit's front d...

We had a three bedroom unit facing the road (but we never had a problem with traffic sounds) There was only four of us in a three bedroom, so one of the bedrooms didn't get used. We felt we had loads of space and the appliances/kitchen could use some renovating, but that seems to be a common theme with timeshare/condos. Also, the air condition was very loud - my husband had a hard time sleeping at night because of it, but we couldn't turn it off or we would be too hot.

The staff were really helpful and the pool was great for our kids (3 and 5 years) but older kids might get bored as there is no diving board or slide or anything. There is a small wading pool for little kids, which our kids loved and a rain shower that is always on. The pool bar was handy and a nice feature, so you could have a drink and then wander back to your unit. We never tried the restaurant, but I heard it was good. We didn't use the tennis courts either.

My only complaint was that our patio had a six foot brick wall around it, which I guess is great if you want privacy, but I like to look at something when I'm having my morning coffee or a glass of wine at night. And, we had astro turf on the patio, which was a bit odd.

It is a good place for families on a budget and it was nice to not be in a hotel because we could eat breakfast and lunch in our unit, rather than eating out at every meal.

Hope this helps you decide....

We stayed here in September, two bedroom. Our bedroom was small with 2 twin beds, furniture was very dated,as was the bedding.Air conditioner was on too often, and very loud.Ask to stay in the back area of the resort,as it is more quite, and away from the busy street. We stayed on the ground floor, didn't like the fact we couldn't see much as the wall was very high. Our friends bedroom was much bigger with a king size bed and full ensuite.Front of our unit lacked that wow factor as you were coming in.Pool is not very big,but lucky for us it was not a busy time while we were there.Temp. was very hot, but dry,so it was bareable.Rooms were fairly clean,we had maid service one day during our week.Kitchen appliances are all white. The place could use a reno.Take a drive to Sadona, its beautiful, also go to Keirland, lots of shops and outdoor restaurants.

Room Tip: Higher floor would have a better view of the mountains, and stay in the back part of the resort its q...

This is a great place to stay. Families should take note that this resort caters more to adults than to kids. Most of the people that were there when I went were of the 40+ age group…and it was GREAT! Swimming was serene, very quiet. The villa was perfect. Large enough so that you and your fellow traveler could have your own space without being underfoot. Loved the down comforter and pillows! The only minor drawback I would say is that there was no Wifi in the villas. It was available for an additional fee. I would have thought that was a standard thing in all rooms these days. But that was minor. It’s a great place to stay. I hope to go back soon.

Nice condo's. Five of us stayed in a two bedroom two bath room condo away from the main street in September. The resort was very clean, pool area was nice, there is a bar at the pool which is convenient, however the alcohol in the drinks was very sparse and they won't let you bring in any of your own drinks, non-alcoholic or alcoholic...which was the only down side to hanging at the pool. The pool is not huge, however there was only a small crowd the week we were there so that was a plus, the pool is a saltwater pool as well..The grounds were very well kept, they have a putting green, small miniature golf course, small trail walk, grill area, cinema, etc. all things we did not take advantage of since we were on the "go" most of the time. The resort is directly in front of Camelback Mountain which is very nice...Not sure of the prices as we stayed on a friends' RCI points...but I would definitely go back there.

Room Tip: Rooms quieter away from the main drag.

We love it here. Always have a great time. Staff always pleasant and helpful.pool area great. Food good although limited. Will be back again soon. Weather as usual was terrific. Great place for fashion square mall, chase field baseball groun. Only approx 2hrs from beautiful Sedona and approx 4hrs from the breathtaking grand canyon.

Room Tip: Request a room away from the road, if noise bothers you.
