I stayed July 3 - 9 2011 the room and resort was very clean. ppl was very nice, even after the Ha-boob dirt/dust storm they was able to clean the resort in two day (Amazing for the amount of dirt that came with the storm) Bar pool was alot of fun, gym was OK. the resort is really for older ppl or very young kids (below 6) Now there's NO Free WiFi! Now to the ppl of Phoenix / Scottsdale come out of that bubble you ppl are living in the world doesn't revolve around you. If you stay at Camelback you won't be displease.

This was the worst stay ever. The daytime manager Gerry, and the general manager Lori are two of the least helpful customer service associates...WE'VE had better treatment at Motel 6...

I stayed at this resort with family in Feb 2011, during my first visit to Arizona. The location is very good, short drive away from downtown Scottsdale. The accommodation is good, decor a little old, but comfortable and met all our needs; especially the spacious bathroom! Staff were friendly and very quick to respond to requests. The gym is small and basic but adequate; outdoor pool in Feb was heaven :) Only downside was charge on the internet connection.

I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the room we had at this resort. I loved the upper level room and balcony. The grounds were very neat and fairly pretty (if you like desert landscapes). I enjoyed the pool area and felt that it was spacious and clean. There were a lot of "returning regulars" at this resort and could tell that a lot of people knew each other. I did participate in the water aerobics that was offered, but it was more of an old friends get-together, as the instructor and a couple of the women just talked through the whole time and didn't pay much attention to the others. But overall, this is a nice place to stay and is located in a very good central location to the shopping, baseball fields, and Scottsdale downtown area.

We held our company conference in Scottsdale and stayed at Camelback Resort and Conference Centre. It is an older resort that has been maintained very well and is located on beautiful grounds with tranquil surroundings. The staff at Camelback were very friendly and efficient and the food served was fresh, plentiful and tasty.

Cambelback is a place where rabbits run freely and is a host to an array of other wildlife. The Jack Rabbit pool is clean and spacious and the spa was a truly wonderful experience (the steam room being my fav).

We rented a car and took a day trip to Sedona which was the high-light of our trip. It was only perhaps an hour to an hour and a half from the resort.

I would highly recommened this resort to anyone visiting Scottsdale.

My only complaint was the lack of hot water. I tried to run a bath but it was lukewarm. After calling maintenance out (who were very pleasant by the way) he informed me it was a 30 gallon tub and a 16 gallon water tank. So why have a big fantastic jetted tub then? Aside from this design flaw I really loved this place.

We got one of the renovated rooms toward the back, it was so relaxing and quiet. These rooms are more like little condos. There was a full kitchen with all the dishes, utensils and even a blender. Large flat screen tv. The fireplace was wood burning and there was a loft upstairs and a cute little balcony where we sat and had our coffee each morning. The grounds are well groomed and there were bunnies running around. They had a putting green and croquet area with plenty of benches and a table with chairs nearby.

The room was very clean and the staff was pleasant. Parking was easy and close to our room. The pool area was nice, a large saltwater pool, very large hot tub (for adults only) and a good sized shaded kid pool. They had a poolside bar with misters and a restaurant that we did not go to. There is a lovely outdoor fireplace with comfortable chairs and a couch by the pool. They even had a poolside card table with poker chips.

In conclusion I'd say this resort is comfortable, quiet, clean and relaxing. There seemed to be a lot of older clientele and a few kids.

We stayed here last week for 4 nights and was not very impressed. It is very outdated and it is an older crowd. The restaurant by the pool was sooo slow and the waiter kept getting our order wrong and did not fix it. They forgot to clean our room one day and took forever to get towels delivered. We asked for another pillow when we checked in and my husband had to walk to the office to pick it up. There were no activities for the teens and the pool was very boring. The sofa bed was very uncomforterable for my daughter and it had a metal bar sticking in her back through the mattress. The backyard felt like a prison you could not see out over the concrete walls. You have to drive to get to any shops . It is acturally in Pheonix not Scottsdale. There was no one in the spa and it was not at all inviting. I would not stay there again.
